Be a great day when 90% of them are gone, never to be seen again.

Not sure what business Butcher has being around the club, cept helping Ken recruit the young guys for animal killing syndicates. Can we start with him?

Found this interview with Jack Cahill interesting for a number of reasons:

*he nearly coached Glenelg

*has a really good relationship with Matthew Richardson

*the story about the trip to Port Brouhhton when the AFL was first brought together

*"someone" who he doesn't want to mention, I assume was Mick Moylan

*what he learnt from 76 grand final,in particular not being strong enough with the players

*styled himself on Fos, Kelley and Oatey

*9 year limit for coaches - I sensed this was possibly, at least partially, directed towards Hinkley

*his initial salary offering for '97 was the same as previous year as coach at SANFL level; I get the feeling his relationship with Bucky Cunningham may not be great these days

*sporting prowess of both his father and mother. Would be interesting to know if Darren had much footy ability in his teenage years before he understandably chose tennis

*the confidence his father gave him from a young age. Fortunately for supporters of the club, he maintained this as a player, and helped him to become so successful as a coach

*he mentioned about getting rid of some talented players of dubious character. He said only 1 or 2, I can't think of who he could be referring to, perhaps a bloke who went on to win a Magarey at another club, but admittedly I know nothing about that bloke's character or the reason why he left the club. Most of the players who were moved on that I can think of would have moved on for greater opportunity - David Baker, Ian Bradmore, Craig Ebert. Paul Belton, Des Drogemuller. Plus Stehen Curtis who I was surprised was moved on when Cahill returned in late 80s, but subsequent premierships proved it was the right decision.

Trevor Grimwood - won the magarey in 1977

Yeah that was my guess, but I didn't necessarily know the reason for him leaving the club,

Was wondering who the Influental Leader BrAEedon Talbot was. This is what I found.

Took over from Pauly V in the Aboriginal community programs and some how ended up as an AFLW assistant coach.

Need more of this sort of footage on club's social media, than players doing stupid shit and laughing, despite losing.

Excellent interview with Jack Cahill he was an absolutely brilliant player and coach, but unfortunately they don't make them like that anymore.
