What's the deal with the Lexus centre, is it open for the public to have a look? Is there a restaurant or bar there? When is it open? etc

I was there today to buy a t-shirt.

There is a bar and cafe there but havent been in, looks fairly swish.

There is a well stocked collingwood retail shop as well.

I think the cafe is open between 7am and 3pm monday to friday.

They will also be conducting tours through the complex in the coming weeks.

At the moment i think not but the hours and days will be increased over the non-football period, apparently a decision will be made in the next couple of weeks.

Surely it would be open on a friday and saturday night before the finals at the MCG...

It could be, but those finals dont involve collingwood so why would anyone at those games go to the lexus centre.

seeing as a lot of opposition supporters were at collingwood finals last year whats stopping collingwood supporters from going to watch football at the highest level without stressing out and worrying about the outcome??? ie.Me

Nothing or no-one is stopping you from going to the football.

In financial terms there would not be enough people at the center to have the bar opened and staffed to make a quid.

It would be a different story if we where there in the finals.

Maybe next year.

It is open for all sporting events in the Melbourne sporting precint. i.e. Any games at MCG, Rod Laver, Vodafone and Olympic park. It will be open for all MCG finals

I had the tour.

Its not a bad set-up, but not a patch on vic park.

I prefer the sense of history and tradition i felt when i went there.

I felt to common at olympic park.

The players and coaches have nothing to complain about or want for in regards to facilities.

The old diving pool is now the cinema and media centre.
