Well looks like they bring him back from injury a week before.
One player Stocker avoids the long term injury but Zac Williams gone instead.
Would love to actually start to have some luck and have clean bill of health.

Yes, except that for pick 9 we also got Brodie Kemp + Sam Philp. Both are developing well in the VFL so essentially we got Stocker, Kemp and Philp for just pick 4.

Except that this argument assumes that all three will just remain VFL players.
Serong might be showing more at this moment, but we expect all three to be regular contributors to the seniors team. They may not reach the peak of Serong as individuals, but if all three become regular best 22, or even best 26 with regular games, the combined contribution would be worth it.

3 years in, Serong hasn't barely dipped at all across the journey and has been learning his craft with some good leaders around him. He's coming from a long way back to be a "will" rather than you hope. His injuries probably mean he's not going to be tried in the midfield for a very long time.

It was actually pick 3 but Gold Coast got a priority pick. Adelaide traded pick 4 with GWS.

If the AFL didn't come through it could have ended up Jackson. Or you could have got more draft capital going back in the draft with it the following year. The Stocker trade was reckless and definitely not been worth it. The more you add stuff on regarding later trading of pick 9, the more you could have benefitted taking pick 4 into the trade period in 2019 and also downgraded.

Depends how you look at it I guess. We would’ve probably taken Young. I wonder if Freo would trade Young for three first rounders like we done? It was a great deal for us, we may or may not of drafted well.

I still think he's best 22, but his form over the last 2 weeks has been pretty bad.
