Seeing as Lidia discussion is cropping up across multiple threads, let's have us a thread for people who want to discuss her contribution to Australian politics.

It should go without saying but seeing as she's a bit of a beacon for controversy - for a variety of reasons - let's just remind ourselves what the board rules are around racism and sexism, shall we?

That's my only issue with it.
And both the victim and the accused have used it.

If it is sexual assault. The cops need to be involved.

who the **** would go to the cops with claims against someone involving someone from the libs

the cops will leak info/not do their jobs and you'll end up being sued for defamation and or dragged through the media for months

with every second arseh*le on social media having a crack and people threatening your life because you dared to publicly speak up

make no mistake Lidia is going to cop torrents of abuse for this anyway, but there is no justice in our system for victims of sexual assault

What she "feels" doesn't necessarily mean an offense has been committed by law.

I put more weight in how she feels than how you feel about it

How I feel about it carries no weight whatsoever. I never said it did.

Unless there are charges the worst that will happen is that he'll be kicked out of parliament. No doubt has either deep pockets or friends that do.

Liberals started the week in concert with the Murdoch media trying to force a Labor Senator to resign.

Liberals end the week with one Senator less, Cash under massive pressure, Morrison squirming as usual, Reynolds threatening to sue everyone in sight and Dutton the laughing stock of the entire country.
