And who has performed well as Sub this year Mr Genius.
I can tell you what a sub shouldn't be. A sub for starters shouldn't be a rubbish footballer. Secondly the sub should have leg speed so that they can really exploit tired players.

Taking out the fact Dalziell should never have been on our list, his game was accumulate and run all day at no pace whatsoever. Hence the worst sub.

I'm more astounded you even put good and Dalziell in the same sentence when talking AFL. I know it was a hypothetical but we live in reality and the reality was he was a shit AFL player and WAFL standout. You really have no idea.

i'm fine with persevering with smith, he seems to be playing decently up forward in the wafl this season, still has all the tools to step up a level, and is therefore fine for depth.

Don't know why you're suggesting McGovern Masto essentially established 22 KPP for the next 5 years now. Lycett is the critical signing and more important than trading for a mid, would offer an overs contract, crtitical signing

Why are you trying to make something out if nothing?
I said it was a silly idea. Which you obviously agree with.
Went on to say that he would have been better than the subs we played this year which wouldn't be hard.
So what is the big deal?

We have a surplus of talls who aren't playing that may have value. McGovern, even if he plays every game next year, is still nothing more than a 3rd option in attack at this point. A 2nd round pick outways the difference in production between McGovern and other backups. I mean other teams might prefer other players anyway. I have so little faith in the WCE team to capitalise on their predicament. They seem genuinely clueless at list building.

1) Darling is barely a tall anymore, rotates heavily in the midfield and has always been agile at ground level, the system has worked before
2) McInnes is cooked and doesn't look up to it. This means next year we will be struggling for KPP depth if McGovern goes as well
3) You have an inflated value of a 2nd round pick. If we're lucky we'll pick up a slider but our record is very poor recently in that area
4) The major issue is that McGovern is showing strong potential. He still has some flaws in his game, but as a young KPP to take double figure marks 2 weeks in a row and have the impact he has is extremely promising. I don't know what you're expecting from a 2nd round pick.

who was our 2nd round pick ? Karpany ?

I didn't say 3rd tall I said 3rd option in attack. I was actually thinking of Kennedy and LeCras since Darling plays up the ground a lot these days. He's still a 3rd option in attack. If you include Darling that makes him a 4th option in attack.
Writing off McInnes this year is like writing off McGovern last year - since he is a year younger. We are not short on talls coming through.
A 2nd round pick is still better than a late round pick.
All our young talls have positives and negatives. This isn't a debate about McGovern vs McInnes - its about trading out talls for midfielders.

lol richmond have 5 - 5 year plans to move from 9th to 8th

LOL talk about selective examples. Malthouse had a 5 year plan. Woosha had a 5 year plan. Let's do what's worked for us - not what didn't work for Richmond.

I agree with most of this except Cox retiring. Sadly I think Beau may be the retiree. Definately agree with your delistings. I would add Smith to the trade column.

Trades ...this will surprise some darling

We would get very good midfielder for him ....I like darling but I don't think he's ever going to be a great mark nor is he great kick for goal ....he plays well some games but we need a blue chip midfielder

Mcgoverns development tells me he potentially a better natural forward

Gaff is another possibility...again would get good currency for him ....

He's not quick, disposal is suspect ....he's chad fletcher re-incarnated ....nice player but never going to be star

The other trade would be Sinclair

Retirements, cox, butler priddis (zit means someone lose has to step up)

We might be able to trade priddis to a contending team or gws or GCS and get a kid in return

Priddis isn't going to play in our next finals team

We need pace.....get garlett from Carlton

I would like to see Sharrod Shell-of-a-man-ingham get delisted, we were seriously duped with this crab.

Priddis wont retire as he is contracted.

So many players I'd like to see the back of. While we can't get rid of them all at once, could easily see the likes of...

OUT
Jacob Brennan
Sam Butler (ret.)
Dean Cox (ret.)
Darren Glass (ret.)
Josh Hill
Mark Hutchings (a tad harsh perhaps, but he's a nothing, WAFL level footballer)
Patrick McGinnity
Fraser McInnes (ideally he plays CHB for East Perth and saves himself)
Matt Priddis (trade; if he is that great, in the bests each week, then surely he holds some currency?)
Ash Smith
Beau Waters (ret? Hopefully not, but not looking great)
Blayne Wilson

Sorry to intrude, but I think you have a big trade available depending on the "balls" as such.
You have 3 key fwds, but only need 2. I'd be keeping McGov, would you trade Darling/Kennedy for an A grade mid? Who to trade and for whom

No - none that would be available. I would trade McGovern for an A grade mid.
