Like Jake Spencer from Melbourne?I'd delist both, look over the DFA market, look at mature agers in the draft then if that all fails take Griffin with our last rookie pick.

Doubt he would leave to be the no2 again.Like Jake Spencer from Melbourne?
I don't think there are any other FA rucks available... Unless we wait until someone gets delisted of course, and even then, we rarely pickup other clubs delisted players.Doubt he would leave to be the no2 again.
There will probably be somebody but I don't see the point in getting them in anyway (unless they are genuinely good). Getting a journeymen involves playing the youngsters less. I am not a fan of that.I don't think there are any other FA rucks available... Unless we wait until someone gets delisted of course, and even then, we rarely pickup other clubs delisted players.

So who would you have as our backup ruckman (besides Sandi)? There will probably be somebody but I don't see the point in getting them in anyway (unless they are genuinely good). Getting a journeymen involves playing the youngsters less. I am not a fan of that.
Sean Darcy .So who would you have as our backup ruckman (besides Sandi)?
So we have Sean Darcy... And Sean Darcy. Ok.Sean Darcy .
Tabs, Ape (if and only if knees can cope), Nads, Cox and Johnno (if he stays on)So who would you have as our backup ruckman (besides Sandi)?
Well up to you , if you think that is good for Freo going forward .Ok... That was my point:
- Ape is perpetually injured...
_ Tabs may not be here next year (OOC)
- Johnno and Sandi will most likely retire next year
So, if we delist Clarke and Griffin... We'd need someone to help Darcy out... Nads has been playing Peel reserves, so he looks a little way off AFL standard ... and Cox is still learning too ... I think we should pickup an experienced ruckman just to help these guys out.
That day changed his career. Very stupid decision that.Chose computer generated music over an AFL career.
I checked back and I provided a training report that included mention of Tabs taking part in ruck training in July 2016.Was this year's preseason the first time we had trialled Tabs in the ruck? Another preseason practicing with Darcy amd Sandi might help him not be such a liability in the ruck, where as Cox will always struggle due to his lack of height compared to other rucks.
Sandi and Darcy will be our main two rucks for the year.
Strnadica and Apeness to share the Peel load. If both Sandi and Darcy go down for Freo then Strnadica/Apeness step up.
His knees are F***ed. Cya later. Also Griffin stays on will stifle opportunities for Strnadica and Apeness(provided fit) in the ruck.Clarke doesn't offer us much anymore. His heart and passion has left and he ll get easier dominated in the ruck nowadays. Time to cut our losses with him.
Who would offer a second rounder for an injured and injury prone youngster who has taken extended personal leave this year?I would have thought a second rounder was reasonable for Balic. He was drafted there, if anything has shown more as has fixed the wrist issue and played some good footy. I would have thought a few Melb teams would look at him and offer around the pick 30-40 mark. This is assuming there is nothing sinister in the personal leave issue.
Yep, it's a shame - he cops a hard time on here, but his knees just aren't up to it, not his fault.I think they gave Clarke 1 year and provided surgery and that's that.
They knew his knees were buggered and squeezed a few games out of him IMO.
Anyone who watched him could visibly see he was in pain and couldn't get out of second gear last year.
Crowd surfing didn't help.but his knees just aren't up to it, not his fault.
Im pretty sure clarke will be good to go next year, he has already been out for a year.Strnadica needs to play as Peels no1 or no2 and he isn't doing that with Griffen or Clarke on the list.
How does having an injured Clarke change the number of available ruckmen?
I'd delist both. If I had to keep 1 it is Griffen since he can actually get on the park. Having Clarke on the list these days just takes up a list spot.
I am totally fine with us playing a makeshift ruckman in a few AFL games rather than stalling Nads/new ruckman's development just to keep Clarke of Griffen on the list.
Hopefully he can find his new found fitness to find a new club.Im pretty sure clarke will be good to go next year, he has already been out for a year.
I've switched sides and I'm now in the delist both Griff and Clarke.Crowd surfing didn't help.
If people are deadset on having someone like Griffin or Clarke then I'd ditch them both and pick up FA Casboult. He offers a lot more. As mentioned continue to develop Tabs rucking and we would have plenty of ruck depth.
I think Apeness won't ruck in centre square very often. He can do some rucking duties in the forward half (with very rare presence in centre square) but will spend most of his time from FF.
Then stay as an assistant coach? Ffs, didn't know we re keeping 30+ year old 'mentors' during rebuild. Just a flash word to keep Ballas. Ross will justify that oneBallas will stay , look awkward to cut him now.
