According to Gettable, Butts has had a 4-year offer on the table from us early this year, but is in no hurry to sign.
This seems to support the speculation about him.

What sort of money should we be offering him to keep his services?

Wilson is a decent outside prospect. Can run all day, has wheels. Can shirk a contest and not an elite user. Almost certainly better than Soligo on a wing and a decent replacement for Laird - shows more than Bond, but don't know if he can lock down an opponent. Idk if he can do a job as a half forward flanker, even though he kicked 5 v GWS last year.

Concerned about the 4 years - the price will take care of itself I guess

He hasnt played a full season since 2021 so there would need to be a KPI/Games played component to this - maybe 3 with a 4th year trigger etc

And both come via free agency, it's not really a big deal.
We should be aiming to get better.

If Neale and Bailey come in, Butts goes out and we still have a first round pick to use you'd say that's a good outcome for now and the future as Keane, Worrell and Murray should be good enough to win us a flag if the midfield and forward line start dominating.
