He's being chased so we don't have to play small forwards like Parsons Gregson Jones etc or rely on the about 4 times a year that McCarthy and Cockatoo are actually fit. Nothing to do with Scott Selwood.

Dahlhaus isn't a small forward as hard as you're trying to convince yourself he is. We've already got a number of midfielders being used as forwards to minimal effect.

Agree Pure_Ownage . Scooter will be on the list next season.
He was good in '17 and a tackling machine. He's doing OK at best this season and if he can't return to 2017 form I'd play Constable ahead of him next year.

Dahlhaus knocks all those non-performing forwards out of the team, doesn't mean he couldn't spend some time in the middle of course.
That is if we get him too. That is far from certain.

Narkle and Parfitt are outside mids not small forwards Gregson and McCarthy are chronically injured and likely to be delisted Parsons is average (and not a small forward in any case) and Miers is an unproven 1st year player. We definitely need a quality small forward.

I wonder if some of the more mature Haw supporter can remember how many games Tuck and Dipper etc played in the 2's before getting a game. We have guys on our list that have not got a game in three years... so obviously that means they are washed up ... meanwhile I see Hamling and Brown playing well at their current clubs.

Basically if Miers is good enough he will push his way in ..one never know really when or where opportunities will get offered. He put etc work in the gym , polishes up a few issues and he could be a player for sure.


Anyway ... if DHouse was in the side today ..where would he have played? Your feel he is the pressure forward we need? Im sort of think he could add something like SS...

He would be Forward Flank.. Adding pressure football inside the 50mt arc, he isn't a Forward Pocket crumbed style player, that's why FFlank be his position, maybe rotate in the middle for 5 min a quarter
