Love how this is continually spat out by West Coast fans with no source or video evidence. They just keep telling us its wrong.

The sweetest thing in all this is despite WC tears Rance will retire an AA over Mackenzie. And even though Eagles fans will say otherwisw, their crying over it shows it really bothers them.

Would take hours of footage to get the precise number. Having watched every game this year to the fullest, I would be very surprised if he conceded over 30 goals. Not bad for a bloke who takes the best forward week after week in a bottom 10 team.

P.S. Kevin Bartlett, Richardson and Frawley make up 1/3rd of the selection panel. What a ridiculous coincidence that line-ball Tiger gets the nod.

Why would you expect the player who's played more games to have a higher average? Personally I think it's harder to play every game of the season at a consistently high level.

Note I'm not questioning the players, just the assumption. I still voted for Rance btw

Makes sense that Rance gets all Australian and McKenzie misses out as it follows the pattern of their respective teams. Richmond finished top 8 and did beat some teams that made the finals, the eagles are just flat track bullies who can only beat teams below them.

I honestly think MacKenzie and Rance are really both deserving of AA, just a bit jaded that eMac was just as good last year but missed the cut again.

Who really cares anyhow, these accolades shouldn't help premiership-less players sleep.

This one was taken when Richmond were 4-10 or 5-10. Very likely that it changed after this but Rance's second half of the year was even better than his first.

Cheers, it's a much better stat. Doesn't paint the complete picture but provides more insight than the simple goals conceded stat.

You do realize that with less games it means Rance is more likely to have higher averages, right?
