Wellinghams bump probably wasn't the best example because of its blatancy but it's the freshest incident.

Just generally, bumps that some players get rubbed out for where all they've really done is made a bad decision. Bumping when they could have tackled, mistiming their attack on the contest, or just a reflex action of turning your body or throwing an elbow up.

All of Juddys incidents strike you as more thought out and clearly intentional which makes them worse.

Now see I completely disagree with this. If you've clobbered a bloke because you're going to hard or lack the ability to control your arms you're stupid. If you've chosen to bump a bloke and taken his head in the process, you're stupid.

It's bloody hard to do the following things without targetting an EXACT SPOT to attack: eye-gouge, pressure points, and now the chicken-wing shoulder-pop.

Those aren't dumb acts, they're dirty acts. You've got to make an effort to achieve any of those three things.

Even with Wellingham, he clobbered that Carlton player, but he's a dumbass. He's a dumbass because it doesn't really take much effort to clobber a player in the head and it can be done in a split second. You really do have to go out of your way to do those three things that Judd has done.

He's not the dirtiest player going around and then you use Greg Williams and Matthews to back your argument up. Makes no sense. Use modern-day players. Ballantyne is a pest, an annoying little mofo that constantly tries to wind up his opponent. He's never done anything that would be considered bizarre like Judd though. Judd doesn't often get in trouble but when he does it's spectacularly ordinary.

I seem to remember Libba doing some pretty ordinary shit during his career.

Fair point. My argument was that, like Minson, Judd is a smart guy who makes some very poor decisions. Academic intelligence doesn't mean you're a smart bloke, if that makes sense. It is premeditated, so it's hard to argue he's just clumsy, you're right.

And if Campbell brown, Hayden Ballantyne, Steven Baker did something like this, especially too Judd, you'd be screaming this freaken board down about how they did this heynous act to Judd.

I would say Judd is a dirty player, regardless of the number of incidents, as the ones he's done for are these types of acts. Look at his rap sheet, Eye-gouging, Pressure points, Chicken wing. Add to this he got off on a cheap elbow/forearm to the face of Pavlich out of frustration, the guy is far from clean.

Also, no point trying to judge the guy against different eras. Back when Williams and Matthews played, Wellingham wouldn't have been cited, sling tackles weren't heard of and in Matthews case, trial by video wasn't even invented.

I don't know if he's a dirty player per se but as a woman I'd feel a bit unnerved if he offered to help me load my groceries into the car in an empty late night carpark.

What Judd done was out of character. Not sure what he was trying to achieve by doing what he did.. But its abit over the top to call him the dirtiest player in the AFL.. Surely Hayden Balantyne deserves that mantle ahead of Judd. I do not think C. Judd is the dirtiest player in the competition and I doubt any of you know who is as none of you play in the competiton! Unless of course you do and have nothing better to do but post on Big Footy. Every team has somebody in their ranks that causes the oppostion fans to go way over the top in their hate. I have seen on this website hate spewed garbage about most of the elite players of now including, Goodes, Ablett JR, Franklin,Judd etc. All of whom you would want in your team if you are honest. Chris Judd is an enigma to most as he is not a bubbly personality and takes his football seriously. Did you actually read my post? As far as I am aware both Barry Hall and Steven Baker are retired.

I suggested that Chris Judd is probably the dirtiest CURRENT player....and nobody has given me any cause to think that he is not.
