It tells you once at the start when you have your first conversation... but I haven't seen it since so I'm in the same boat

Well that makes it so much clearer.

Emotional is basically the whiny bitch response i guess, casual is the IDGAF response. Whats the diff between Logical and Professional.

And yeah scanning sucks arse, but still not ME1 bad where you basically had to drive a grid pattern around a square exploration area on a barren sand/ice/rock planet to find things

Got a new method for attacking the laundry list of missions on a planet. I just ignore the quest list in the journal, and bring up the map instead to click on the nearest white hexagon to my location.

I then knock that mission off, open the map, and choose the next nearest mission location until the planet is done.

Counter intuitive to pretty much any RPG i've ever played, but its better than dealing with the god awful journal with its dumb filing system, and criss crossing an enormous planet looking for things

Only downfall is collection missions that when you select them they have about 10 waypoints

Tried that early on eos and would have markers in level 3 radioactive areas which would kill you quickly.

Casual basically involves trolling everyone. It made for a thoroughly bizarre experience at times.

This is mostly what I did. It's the easiest way to get through the missions.

My views on thr game after my play through

LOOK
wasnt fussed with the pre roll. Bioware pre rolls always look ugly, and i always customize to make them look good. As always the hair sucks :p

Modders have traditionally done a great job cleaning up char faces/looks on ME/DA, so hopefully it happens again

Patch helped a lot with the dead eyes and bad make up (addison looked like a trans)

Wtf is with the arasi clones though???? Its really beginning to piss me off that there are only two asari in andromeda - peebee and everyone else.

I know there is the conspiracy theory that bioware has deliberately fuglied up the women if ME:A. I wont say its deliberate, but i know looks is something bioware has struggled with. Me of course was banned in singapore for the liara sex scene. The desire demons were removed after da:eek: (even though pics of them for 2 were seen in a webcast). Then you have the church reactions to the very openly gay chars in the game. I dont think its a conspiracy, but i do think bioware has been under massive pressure to focus on relationships and not sexualization.

As for the asari clones, thats just laziness.

GAMEPLAY
happy with it. Took a while to get thr hang of the new game dynamics, and npcs getbin your way way too often, but once used to it i found it enjoyable

RP
This reeks of ep 1 of more to come, so im making a call without seeing all the consequences.

BUT i think there isnt enough consequences in the game for your actions/verbal compared to earlier games. I havent done multiple play throughs yet, but im struggling to see how you will get vastly diff outcomes.

STORY
I actually like it. Gave us an enemy to fight, but hints there is a lot more going on (externally and internally)

Just had an annoying bug that seemed to autosave 5 times in a minute but each one loads a death screen asking me to resume or load at last checkpoint. The most recent one that works was an hour and a half before hand :( I really lose motivation when shit like this happens and I have to do tough bits again.

Friggin heartbreaking. Like walking around the wastes in fallout exploring for a couple of hours not saving, then getting killed by a random deathclaw

Started a new playthrough. Got to the final misson and dead set the entire plot went over my head. I was not paying attention to the dialogue enough. The convo wheel is a bit out dated now i think.

I think i will be giving open world games a rest for a while. Until RDR2 comes out anyway.

Just finished it two days ago. Very good game. 7/10 for me.

Sooner they fix bugs the better, but have no desire to play through again any time soon. Very grindy.

Just downloaded the apex app which isn't bad. Allows you to send strike teams on missions wherever you are and gives you notifications when they're done. I've got 16 crates of goodies waiting for me the next time I login

Finished the game a couple of days ago. Very underwhelming story IMO. The whole story was a good idea but executed poorly.

I've never found the stories in mass effect sensational to be honest. I thought 2 was the worst. It pretty much consisted of: Go recruit your crew. Go to the final battle.

Yeah it's always been more about the game world and characters than any sort of plot
