I loved the plot arch of the trilogy. It had a real 'us against them' feel to it which made it all the more epic. This one was just meh.

The mission sequences were boring and monotonous as well. It was just kill Kett, interact with remnant console, repeat.
 
The vaults as well were a pain in the ass. Were they actual puzzles? Maybe I didn't give it enough time before going on YouTube for a walkthrough but it felt like it was more of a "hopefully press this series of consoles in the correct order" sort of thing than it was a brain teaser.

They were certainly puzzles, sorta like sandskrit sudoko. Couldn't have same symbols in one line or sector, there's always a way to work it out.

But yeah, i have done a few of them and after stuffing after 10min of working one out have thought "Is this why I play video games?"

Nah I meant the actual vaults. I didn't actually mind the sudoku.
 
I don't mind the occasional sudoku in real life, but these ones are a pain that slow down game play. Usually google the answer

oh right i think i know the one you are talking about? The Veold one? That did suck because you had to do it before you ran out of health due to the environment.

All the planet vaults you have to run out once activated, they even recycle the same Ryder dialogue each time
 
Minor complaint, but is the vidcom hologram thing meant to look broken? I've noticed characters missing parts of their face, but it almost looks like it's intentional.

I just remember them looking significantly better in the original trilogy (hanging up on the council was always fun).

Yeah the holo image looks shite in this game. Same with the omni tool

Yeah one of them was particularly tough. The one on Elaadan I think. I ended up googling it and thinking to myself how was I supposed to figure that out myself? Surely not alone?

The video transmissions of the archon were horrendous. It's hundreds of years in the future. Surely they would get at least SD picture.

Digging on the game a lot here but I did enjoy it somewhat overall. Plan on getting all the achievements soon enough.
 
Anyone got tips on the best armor to craft? As a biotic I'm just rocking the N7 right now
 
Trying to find mission markers on Havarl, with its multiple vertical levels and impassable cliffs and walls, is one of the most frustrating things i've experienced in a video game.

Yes another thing about this game. Did not enjoy maxing out the viability on Havarl at all. Add to the fact it's always night time, making it all the harder to see.

And what's with every planet having huge mountains everywhere. I know it's untouched terrain but surely not too much to ask not to have to climb 2 big ass mountains just to get to my destination.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that hates Harvarl. Only planet I don't overly like. I've got 100% on three planets but I'm on 22% on Harvarl and I never enjoy going there.

But the multiple levels with no idea how to reach a mission is my main bugbear

I don't mind the mountains on other planets. Mod the nomad and the whole map becomes a stunt park
 
Anyone had any issues with crafting? I researched advanced hyperguardian chest and have all the resources to craft it but it's not showing up in the creation menu. It's doing it for the legs and arms too but hasn't done it for anything else I've done

Took me awhile to realise I could fast travel to the top of the mountain (once I went once) on Harval by just changing the level :$

Yep got that. Tbh it took me a few hours to even realise you could scroll through floors on the map.
