First time I've heard this one, and I'm pretty sure from the outset that we can't trade Priddis because he's on our rookie list.

Either way, Priddis is a gun at WAFL level, obviously he won the Sandover medal this year and has been in contention for it for the past several years. He's only played about 2 AFL games and handled himself fairly well. He doesn't really get a game with us because we've pigeonholed him as a mid and he can't crack it (whilst lesser players like Rowan Jones get runs due to being able to play on flanks).

He's only 21 but his leg speed has been questioned. I suppose he'd be a inside midfeilder in the Haselby mold (poor mans Haselby). Someone correct me if I'm wrong there.

I can't imagine a player like him would be your priority.

Jimmy hit the nail on the head. Pretty good summation, i doubt we'd want him, let alone chase him from another club.

Priddis isn't built for AFL football, not the athlete. A good example is Peake struggled at WAFL level, he does alright Its a very different game.

Isn't Priddis on the WC rookie list? If that is the case, Rookies cannot be traded, which means he is either staying with them or going into the draft. One thing that is not happening, is that he is being traded.

I think it may have been Hagdorn who started this, which if Priddis is on the Rookie list makes for even poorer journalism than we usually have to put up with.

I was very impressed by him when he played for the Eagles. He got quite a lot of the pill IIRC and he's an in and under player, what Adelaide needs but not what Freo need. I would take him at Adelaide.

Yes we can. Meddy is an exceptional player when he is steered correctly. He just didn't fit in the Freo scheme of things and kind of fell by the wayside.

That isn't a permanant elevation though. When the 2007 season starts, if both Adkins and Smith are ready to go, they get taken off the long term injury list and Priddis gets put back on the rookie list.

i am not a medders basher, i would love to see the guy play well and be a docker for life - but i think you guys are underrating priddis here. The guy is an absolute ball magnet, one of those kids that just knows where the ball is going to be, and he disposes of it very very well.

woosha is an idiot to allow rohan jones a game every week while this kid waits in the wings, if this trade was on id do it in a heartbeat.

i dont think the eagles would go for it though

Yes that's right, and it also means that he cannot be traded by the Eagles.

They can either keep him on the Rookie list if he is still elligible, upgrade him, or he can nominate for the draft proper. No trading possible.

No thanks. We had years to pick him up yet passed. The club has had more than enough chances to look at him.

He's well below par for what we need. Just because he plays alright in a very good midfield doesn't make him a good midfielder.
