Hey kid, I like the way you play. You present, you mark, you take your chances and you run off your man inside 50 to create opportunities. I realise that you've only played a handful of games, and you're still just a boy really, but I've noticed that your game lately has started to show a familiar deficiency.

When you take your set shots, you seem to be dropping the ball to the foot on a funny angle. Is this deliberate? If your kicking for goal was accurate, I wouldn't really pay it much thought, but you've developed a common disease in Geelong known as Kingsley-McCarthy Syndrome, commonly known as "the shanks". Don't feel too bad, Mooney's had it for a while and recently Ottens has caught a case of it, but you're still young. There's still time for you to recover and be more Ronnie Burns than Shannon Byrnes when lining up for goal.

Please, see a doctor Ryan.

Brian Taylor is a well-regarded physician, go have a consultation.

Regards,

Yeah, he looks fairly comfortable from the impossible snaps on the run, but we really need some reliability in front of goal.

Our Forward line needs the help of the Love Guru

The thought I have about Gamble is that it appears to me that he doesn't mark the ball on his chest, but he doesn't mark it in his hands out in front of himself either, he seems to try to mark it over his shoulder. I might just be imagining things, but I can't see how such a style could be effective, either in terms of actually catching the pill, or still having a chance to be involved in the contest should you not catch it.

I do think that Gamble shows great promise though - I wouldn't complain if he kicked a bit straighter but!

Someone on SEN (Brereton?) said that Gamble has some technical problems with his kicking style, he kicks off a flat foot. Must admit I have never looked that closely but if it is the case you'd wonder how a guy who's been in the system so long hasn't bee shown better technique.

The real problem is our forwards are getting to close to the man on the mark which results in you checking your kicking action - Note where the mark it even mark if with your foot move back to a comfortable area where you cam kick through the ball and make sure when you kick your leg is in the direction where you want the ball to go.

This is junior football stuff but at least 5 times on Friday this occured.
