He is absolute garbage. Slow AF, skinny AF, disposal passing is ok though not great on left foot, right foot sucks.

Would be happy to get a pick 30 for him
Think you might be forgetting he was very bottom aged so his body would be a year or so behind others in his draft year.

So? He's had 2? years. As a midfielder he should've been able to bulk up a bit in 2 years at the club

At year's end Darling and Priddis should be traded. Darling is soft, can't stay on his feet and consistently under-performs. Priddis has something to offer, he just looks far too comfortable doing the same-old at west coast.

Perhaps both for Mitch McGovern?

I would've tried to trade Darling last year, doesn't offer much tbh. And Masten SHOULD be gone, but he worked at the team shop before he got drafted so he'll be here for life unfortunately

A friend told me last year that we should have traded Darling as a message for being so soft as it was a really good midfielders draft ..

Darling and Gaff have currency, Priddis has none. Trading both for Mitch McGovern does nothing to address our issues. We need to go to the draft with a clutch of high picks to kick a rebuild, otherwise we will be mid table for the next decade.

Since Darling was under contract he can reject the trade...

0% chance

Still the point is its always been our midfield. Fix that and you fix the team.

Yes you 100% correct :heavycheck: but some here don't see that.

Many on here cant see the forrest for the trees. \_ :( _/

FB: Hurn, Barrass, Sheppard
CHB: Wellingham, Schofield, Yeo
C: xxxxx, Priddis, Gaff
HF: Cripps, McGovern, xxxxx
FF: xxxxx, Kennedy, LeCras
Ruck: Vardy, Shuey, xxxxx

Interchange: Duggan, Sheed, Nelson, Darling

Thats our strongest and fit team atm. Play them and fill the empty spots with kids, see what they can do. Spend this year developing players and grab some early picks end of the year.

No. It is time we move on and evolve.

We need to start playing the kids. We need to look beyond this year which i think is now cooked. Priddis, Mitchell, Lecras, Butler all potentially in their last year. We need to act and give them a chance.

I'm willing to give Redden and Jetta till the end of the year, if they don't improve then can take Masten with them.

I think we should write off Jetta... Redden is close to 150 games and is in his 2nd year with us coming off an apparently good preseason.

I dont have much faith in either of them.

I don't think things are as bad as they seem, you guys primed for finals last year really well until the Dogs played like they were possessed.

I would trade Darling, very poor finals player. Reminds me of Jenkins who I don't rate. He kicks goals but its mentioned the quality of the goals here.

No way I'd trade Gaff, not that many decent wingers in the AFL. His best is still ahead of him at 24, already an AA.

With Priddis, I'd like to see him not played. You guys didn't miss him in the quarter final against the Hawks. We played three slow inside mids last year (Thompson, Lyons and Matt Crouch) and teams like the Dogs, Sydney, you guys and Geelong ran all over us. We're a much better side now without Lyons and Thompson, despite the very good numbers they put up.

Duggan is still far too young and didnt have a full preseason, I'd keep the faith.

Shuey captain?

Darling could be. Who replaced him?

Priddis Is not tradable nobody wants him except us. Well, us as in the club and supporters who have NFC.

I've tried to stay positive about this team since the 2015 Grand Final waste of my afternoon and memory.

But after watching Simpson trot out basically the same team ever since, expecting a different result at the MCG, I have reached the end of my tether with 2017, the coach and some of this squad.

Who do I love:
Jackson Nelson - This kid plays with his heart on his sleeve and gets better each week with the more opportunity he receives. Anybody still hating on this kid, has no idea about football and should resume their career in cleaning windows with their tongue.

Francis Watson - Having a few issues atm with keeping the family distractions from hurting his footy career, and has been punished accordingly by the club, but this kid is everything we have not had for many a year... x factor.

and others... but i'm getting bored myself typing this.

Who's gotta go:
MASTEN - FFS this guy is a forward running useless crab, and has never been anything but.
Darling - Trade - Could of been anything, and loved him for it, but we ain't doing enough for him and vice versa.
Priddis - Time to retire. Struggles to have any real influence anymore. Holding others back. Dynamic is not a defining word to describe our team with Priddis in it.
Masten - Did I mention him already?
McKenzie - Gooone
Wellingham - Isn't mentally strong enough
Hill and/or LeCras - Both have moments where all is forgiven, but ultimately don't have it upstairs in the big games.

Who do I want to see:
Duggan: Getting better each game he plays. Keep playing him
Watson: Show this kid what he risks losing, and he has talent to burrrrrn.
Lamb: Sink or swim, maybe he will rise with better players around him. If not... Go away.
Venables: Need to see why we passed over SPP, who was exactly who we needed and was a mad WCE supporter.
Karnapy: Been on the list too long, for what purpose. play him or cut him.
Rothom: Not in any rush, but looks the goods.

The Coach...
Adam Simpson: Starting to really feel that Don Pyke was our guy, not Simmo... How he has kept the blind faith in this core squad is staggering. Almost like he's playing for the Stephen Bradbury of premierships.

Game Plan:
Shite... Our players will make great scarecrows in their post careers.
It concerns me how we can't take our defensive pressure to the next level or absorb it when the game is on the line. Can't lay effective tackles, and wouldn't know how... big concern.
