Is SEN likely to host this on its site? Would be good to hear it. Mooney is clearly looking to establish himself in the media with all these no-holds-barred interviews since retiring, as well as confirming beyond a throwaway Chapman remark that Geelong was out to prove they were better than St Kilda.

They do host a lot of the interviews so wouldn't be surprised. Pretty good interview.

I've just emailed SEN to ask them to put it up.
I have no idea if that will work.

I want to hear it from the start too.

It was interesting to hear him say that he drank too much in the early days. And in fact the club as a group was still playing up in 2006

Pretty good interview, definitely worth a listen.
Mooney is definitely a straight shooter...off the field anyway!
Anyone know if he ended up playing any games in Darwin, think it was being
talked about a couple of months ago?

sensational bloody interview that...

You can just hear the honesty and passion as Cam talks about his career. I thought it was awesome when he was discussing 2006 and into 07 and how at the end he knew he was done but that after the 08 mess in 09 and 11 they just refused to let it happen again..... especially how the team was bigger than the individual.

And to think that that mentality is being entrenched in the likes of Bundy, Mitch, Menz, Vards, Westy, Cowan, Guthrie, Brown, Smedts et al....

This could be the successful continuation of the most amazing period of time in the history....

I just listened to that again.

There has been a few people on here that have said Geelongs history of losing flags in the 90's has no impact on current day players.

I reckon Kelly could do a pretty good job in the media too. Is there anything our guys can't do?

Interesting to hear that he rates the appointment of Harley along with the introduction of Leading Teams as the two biggest changes between 06 and 07. I recall a LOT of criticism from here over Harley's appointment, most people believing Chapman would do a better job. Harley's role in this should never be understated, he "united the clans" and brought genuine leadership to the club for the first time since maybe Bews.
