Weird, I know he was excited being his 1st game for the club, but I found that Danyle Pearce celebration pretty unlikeable

I can see how some might have thought it was a bit 'me, me, me', especially early on when you're trying to establish yourself as part of a new team.

But I'm so stoked when we kick a goal I really don't care how they celebrate. (With the exception that if someone else has done something incredibly magical or brave to set you up, then you should go straight to them to acknowledge you were the recipient of their great work.)

Was just pure unadulterated joy in my eyes, nothing pre-meditated or planned and it was a fair goal in a pretty big game too, what's not to like?

No biggie, I just didn't rate that one act. If Sharrod Wellingham had run around like that in his 1st game for the eagles, would you have been pleased for him or had a sneer?

The difference between someone from your team doing that and someone from our rival team doing it is massive.

I don't quite understand what Sharrod Wellingham has to do with it, are you telling me you didn't like it because you put so much stock in how opposition fans react? Who cares if people sneered over it o_O

No, I'm saying that it looked stupid, full stop, and that if someone else from another team had done it most of us would have thought it looked stupid, so I suggest the only reason many might think it doesn't look stupid is he is one of ours

Like De Boer against N Brown from West Coast, can't even remember who scored the goal Ballas?

Precisely the example I was thinking of.

It was still a pretty classy snap from Bolly, but you'd look like a right dick in that situation if you ran off celebrating instead of going straight to DeBoer.

According to Wikipedia he played for South Adelaide in the SANFL for half of 2012 before moving to Cranbourne in a league I don't know. Was a funny selection in retrospect as he didn't even make the final SA U18 team just the squad.

Was rated by some of draft watchers. Quigley from memory loved him. he was seen as having a very high ceiling and talent-wise I have to agree. The things he did when he got the chance (I saw a fair bit of him in the WAFL) were outstanding. He just couldn't get into the play often enough and from what I gather he was a bit socially challenged.

Seen Morabito yesterday. I asked him how his knee was and if he'll be ready for round one, he looked at me got out of the shower and said how the fu@k did I get in his house and told me to leave or he'll kick my ass and call the cops.

Not a nice way to treat your fans I'll say.
