I was really hoping Mora would get a few minutes at least in one of the Nab games and then be ready for WAFL but it's sounding more and more like it'll be another month at least then ressies before wafl?

Takes as long as it takes obviously but seeing as it's another journey to get his match fitness and touch back it'll be good to see him finally testing the knee out at any level.

I'm not sure why he'd play ressies. Just as likely to get injured playing there as he is in the league. Ressies is for the guys who aren't good enough for league, if he is still injured he would not play at all.

Maybe the pace is slightly slower at ressie level than WAFL which would initially provide him the ability to get his touch back while building match fitness and I'm no doctor, but if he's not doing contact drills at training then it could also be because you're likely to go up against smaller bodies. This coupled with a slightly lower pace may be easier on his knee as he builds towards WAFL and AFL?

Last time he was coming back from a knee without a pre-season trying to build up this match fitness. This time he has had a full preseason, so he as long as he plays one match before WAFL season starts there should be no reason why he can not step into the senior straight away.

Last time he played only about 10 minutes game time spread over a half in the ressies. I imagine it will be much the same. You don't really want to carry someone like that in the first team.

Luckless midfielder Anthony Morabito could make his long-awaited return in Fremantle's NAB Challenge clash against the Western Bulldogs in less than a fortnight.

Lol, this really needs to go into the media thread. WTF is the go with the Mora name in the first part of the article.

Fremantle have stuck to a cautious approach with Mora- bito since he had his third knee reconstruction early last year.

They copy and paste the article from the paper, my guess is that in the paper the word would have gone over two lines.

Yes it should be fixed, but it appears to happen quiet often.

And Morabito gets his own thread until he plays 5 straight games of AFL with getting injured.

You do not use hyphens in proper nouns, well, not in the English language at least. :p

I wish him the best of luck, has had a horrible start to his career.

I thought Mora had been in full training since last week?
Training with the main group but pulled out of contact, maybe the next few weeks is when it starts.
May not travel and play against the Bulldogs but might get a sub against the Eagles in the praccie the week after.

Anyone catch Kirky on 6PArghhh? Just read a tweet saying Mora is close to full training!

Nah, Kirky said that Mora is back in full training and that he has done every major drill with the main group for two weeks. He said he will play very soon. I'm sure they will upload the audio later on.

Am genuinely going to shed a tear for the young fella when he gets back out there. Shit he deserves some luck.

A tear? Mate, I'll be crying a river. Contemplating going if he plays, but then I'll be crying in front of thousands of people.

What about if his first game is against the Bulldogs next week? Will you come up for that?

I'll be tempted to make a massive Mora banner but don't want to jinx his return.

Yeah, that's what I'm contemplating. Would be a special moment. I was at Barlow's first game back against Melbourne at the 'G. Guessing you're going Seppo?
