morell and teague

what are my fellow bluefans thoughts of these 2. personally it was a bit of a bargain i thought and the poor (literally) kangaroos were just ripped again (from us again as well). it could possibly turn out in a negative way, and i cross my fingers it doesnt, as mckernan could be valueble in their side and morell n teague could just turn out as duds.
but realistically, the trade seems good and could help carlton in more ways than expected. pagan could perhaps transform morell and teague, who are both capable players, into even better ones. i wouldnt mind seeing digby become our centre half back if pagan decides that he might fit in there.

really the only bad thing with this trade is the name digby. along with barnaby french the names are 2 that do not fit in well at carlton. perhaps we could influence a change there too? lol

This could free up Lance to play CHB, with Morell & Fevola up forward.
Digby is a lot more mobile than Mckernan, he is strong bodied & will be a good addition.
Teague is a goer. could be a really good player.
Very happy with these trades.
They will play all 22 games for us, no doubt - availability permitting.

I think Morell and Teague will fit in nicely at the blue's.

Corza was getting on in age and it seemed a good time to ship him back to north.

I just love the way that all north supports, know say that morell and teague are both worthless players. Seems to me they are just a bunch of sore loosers!

They're not worthless, but both have obvious limitations and struggled to get a game at Arden St, and will get buried with Urch, Perry, McIntosh and Shore coming through. Corey could go either way, but you're paying 450k out of the 700k on his contract over the next 2 years. Teague and Diggers are reasonable players, not gonna get any better than they are now but certainly AFL standard.

Good luck to Morrell and Teague at Carlton. You'll get good, solid footy out of them....and you'll love Teague for the way he goes for the ball with no consideration of his own safety. Morrell is a top bloke too. He can be a bit erratic formwise, but you'll see the odd blinder of a game from him.

I am still struggling with the fact that North have let Teague go but if I can get to see him run around in any jumper it has got to be better than him not playing. I love his courage and he WILL be a big asset for Carlton, no doubt about it.
