My most favourite Adelaide player past and present would be:

Andrew "Bunji" McLeod
Bunji at his peak was absolutely brilliant. I still reckon he was ripped off with not ever winning a Brownlow.

Anthony Modra
Special! I remember sitting behind the goal square watching Modra as the ball was coming in, absolute excitement machine. The jump he took and to be only metres away from that was a sight to see.

Current: Dangerfield - Was calling him the clerance machine before last season, his work around the ball for a player his age its just incredible. Makes me happy in pants.

Past: Tony Modra - 93 was the first season I went to all home games... Enough said.

After Collingwood game it was Tippett, but i'm sure it will revert back to Walker soon enough. Also a big Knights' and Reilly fan for some reason. 2007 was a good year for Reilly hopefully he can get played in his natural position and dominate again.

So many guns, hard to choose. Probably Vince, but I'm always firing up when Knights gets the footy anywhere within 374m of goal too. Could reel off plenty of names....Tippett, Mackay, Sloane, Tex, Petrenko, Danger, Porps....we live in an age of guns.

Can't forget Jarrhan Jacky either, claimed him on draft day and I still think he'll make it :thumbsu:

Past: Modra, Roo

Current: Symes, of course :p, Sloane, Danger, Tip-rat, van Berlo, Maric, D-Mac, Knights (sort of..my opinion on him changes almost daily), ohh I LOVE ALL OF THEM! IT'S LIKE PICKING YOUR FAVOURITE CHILD!

Yeah - Brent, but I like Danger, Tippett, VB, etc more than him now. In a space of 12-18 months he's gone from my number 1 to like number 15 :p

Definitely Dangerfield. I love the dude, his intensity at the ball, the way he sticks the ball between his legs when he lines up for goals, the way he always believes he can break out of any pack, the way he refuses to go down in a tackle, everything about him :thumbsu:

Rory Sloane is half a chance to take my #1 spot once he starts playing regularly next season though :p

Dangerfield currently for me too for all the reasons you've stated. A combination of power, pace and skill and a joy to watch.

Macca will always hold a special place for more than 300 games of quality class and a more than a bit of magic.

Knights, of course, is my love-child. :)

Football and the Crows will never be the same after McLeod retires. I've grown up watching him grace the footy field and he's been my favourite ever since I met him early in 1997 (I started playing footy for the first time about a month later). When he retires, it will be like when Smart, Hart and Roo retired or when you lose a pet that you had for years: that feeling like one of the last links to your childhood is broken.

:( just like when Roo retired. But when Macca retires, I think a little bit of the Crows will die...and a little bit of me will die as well, since I've grown up watching him play...it will just be depressing!
Speaking of Macca - will he get to 350 games in the 2010 season??

Currently on 328. The season is 22 H&A games + finals, so he may make it but he doesn't have a lot of leeway for injuries.

As for my own favourite players....

Past is obvious. There is only one possible candidate. Tony Modra. Watching him soar through the air, particularly in 1993, was just awesome. That's why people pay to watch the game.

Today... Macca has long been a favourite, but he's slowing down and is no longer the player he once was. These days it's the likes of Tippett & Dangermouse who set my pulse racing.

Past player - Roo. I got roo memorablia around my lounge room

Currently very hard to pick. Love to see Walker, will be great imo. Other than that a toss up between MacKay, Vince, Knights, Maric and Otten
