I loved everything about this show and massive credit to all involved.

The character of Ray is so well written and acted by Scott Ryan. There are times when he will barely say anything but when he opens up, wow.

Justin Rosniak must be one of the best comedy actors around. That scene with Gary and the two gay guys who wanted to make a porno was priceless. Then there was the 'vagankle'.

The show was all going well then Matt Nable appeared. My most favouritest Aussie actor ever.

The music at the end of each episode was always interesting. I would often find myself using an app to find out what the song was. My favourite was Julia Jacklin: When The Family Flies In.

That scene in S3 at the outback crossroads,
I was convinced the Merc was going to explode

So no 9 episode series 3 was the finale , this week with Ray driving a cab, with two thugs with him, the last look on his face made me fear for those two?
But is there a season 4 , or have they left it to the imagination?
Best Aussie TV I've seen, as I said before short sharp and bloody brilliant!
 
Scott Ryan is a brilliant actor, that smile of Ray's in the last minute of the finale , wow! I hope they change their minds down the track do another, but he could get type cast I guess.
But this was classic television just excellent quality.

Typecast? It's literally the only role he's ever played.

I watched The Magician (2005). It's the same character but less nuanced. The production was very amateur - single low res camera following him around documentary style. It was an achievement for Scott Ryan to make this on a $3,000 budget but I don't think I would have sat through it all if it wasn't for the Mr Inbetween TV show.

Such an interesting dude. Actor, former grade rugby league player, does the weekly preview voiceovers for NRL, pretty sure I've caught him in commentary as well. Plus I just saw a novel of his on the shelves the other day as well.

I thought the same!

Just caught up on the last few episodes. Bit of a lull half way through the season, but it ended on a high note.

Don’t understand why Rafael didn’t do away with Ray when he had the perfect opportunity at the rendezvous point. Out in the middle of nowhere inside a barn, no one would have been the wiser.

Also not sure why Ray didn’t take out Freddy for his deception. Unless he realised Freddy was washed out and didn’t have any influence anymore.

Last few minutes with the taxi ride in the pouring rain at night was great TV. Surely with Ray’s history, he would be prepared for something and would have a piece nearby to help out. No doubt picking these guys up from a bikie clubhouse and then driving them to a desolate spot would have triggered the BS radar.

I noticed that Ray broke the 4th wall at the end with his final look moving away from the passenger to stare direct to the camera. The outcome of the encounter itself could have only ended one way, after all he is the Magician.

he didn’t need to, he’s no no longer “looking out “ for Freddy so the gangster he has a gambling debt to, will sort him out eventually.
 
What a great show!

Ive watched the whole 3 seasons in the last week. Couldn’t get enough. I’m even talking like Ray now!

Probably my favourite ever Aussie show.

We just watched the whole 3 seasons in 4 nights. Was really great Aussie series.

I did think it dragged on a little in the 2nd and 3rd seasons with story line not going anywhere. I know it's a character development series bit the background storyline just didn't seem to go anywhere.

The guy playing ray is great because a totally new actor who I hadn't seen before.

Loved the other characters as well, Gary was my favourite. There conversations were very funny.

Also the ex rugby guy Mathew nable is great again. Haven't seen him bad in anything. Even the cameo from the other rugby player Ian Roberts was good, didn't know he acted.

Great show. Mrs and I both really enjoyed it. Loved how it could go from funny to extremely violent so quickly, it seemed so seamless too.

Gary was a pisser, loved the whole golden shower thing too lol, very funny.

Mate said Ray had done no acting previously. Crazy considering how natural he seems.

Sad that it has finished.

Finished off season 1 and * me it was good. Need to take myself a day off work and binge through the rest.

Hahaha what a great character Gary is.

The episode where Gary rescues Dirks daughter from the child traffickers was the best.

Gee they did a great job of just having horrible suspense in your stomach the whole episode.

Earlier in the episode when Ray was going nuts at the wrong guys family, pulls the shotty, one shot into the roof and then points it at the older woman and says 'say goodbye to your grandma'.

I thought he was going to do it. Great tv.
