It's an interesting question for Carlton supporters. In Murphy and Gibbs we are fortunate enough to have the two best young players in the game. But just say we could only have one.Who would we chose? At the moment yuo would probaly have to say Murph but Gibbs talent is so freakish it would be a very difficult decsion. what do others think?

Everyone was saying back before and just after the draft that Gibbs has a lot more potential, and that he's the best pick in the crop. In the much vaunted "super draft" too.

Murphy has done a lot more so far, but he's a year ahead. Give Gibbs the same opportunity and then we'll talk. Considering most people don't rate the pre-season at all, by that token I don't see why people should rate Gibbs on only those practice matches.

Selwood is miles ahead of Gibbs. Perhaps he could have gone no1.

Based on a few practice matches?

By that logic, in 2005 we were actually miles ahead of the Eagles and Ian Prendergast was a genuine matchwinner. And Callum Chambers was a star.

Let's wait a few years before jumping to conclusions (hell, if you're impatient we can see how this year pans out for them). You are jumping the gun.

Two in body development, Murphy was top aged when drafted, 18 years old and is turning 20 this year I think. While Gibbs just turned 18.

He wasn't bottom aged but nor was he top aged. Top aged draftees are those who were available the previous draft but didn't get picked up.
