Pick #1 (Melbourne) - Jack Watts - The CHF they need. Although they need many things :p Lock this one in Eddie.

Pick #2 (West Coast) - Daniel Rich - Eagles won't be down for too much longer. A very professional club with some awesome young kids. This one could be the best of the lot. Kerr, Masten, Ebert, Rich. Judd, Cousins, who?

Pick #3 (Fremantle) - Nicholas Naitanui - Fremantles recruiters are a bunch of spuds, this pick will basically be because Naitanui is Western Australian and the media already has this pick locked in. Freo would love Hartlett, but I don't think they have the balls to pick him. Don't worry Dockers fans, Naita's a gun all the same. Can't go wrong.

Pick #4 (Port Adelaide) - Tyrone Vickery - I doubt Port will keep this pick but if they do, Tyrones their man.

Pick #5 (Essendon) - Michael Hurley - Fills a list need with Fletcher and Mal getting on. Many Bombers fans may not agree, but I think Hurls is your man.

Pick # 6 (Carlton) - Jack Ziebell - His stocks have risen recently and I think hes the perfect fit for the Blues.

Pick #7 (Brisbane) - Hamish Hartlett - The big slider I'm predicting. Brisbane need mids, this man will fill a massive void from day one.

Pick # 8 (Richmond) - Jackson Trengove - Possibly will be the best KP player out of this draft. Was touted by some as a top 3 pick before he got injured. 196cm, massive leap, great contested mark, the Tigers have him marked down as their next CHF.

Pick # 9 (North Melbourne) - Steele Sidebottom - Stocks have risen massively. A very classy player, a necessity for the Kangas with Simpson getting on.

Pick # 10 (Adelaide) - Lewis Johnston - I think they'll go the local boy, even though he lives no where near the city. With Walker looking very good, Johnston would be the perfect 3rd foil in an attack that needs some new blood.

Pick # 11 (Collingwood) - Sam Blease - Very quick skillful midfielder. Pies need a bit of zip, and he'll provide it.

Pick # 12 (Sydney) - Shaun McKernan - Well where to look? Swans have lots of deficiencies as they're players get older. What they do need is a ruckman and a CHF. Not really sure which one McKernan will be as I dont really rate him, but he might be worth the punt.

Pick # 13 (St Kilda) - Chris Yarran - Watching the Saints last night, they just got burned with pace and class. If Yarran can get some consistancy, he'll fill a massive void in the Saints list.

Pick # 14 (Western Bulldogs) - Ayce Cordy - Highly talented yet very skinny, I can't see the Dogs paying anything less than a first rounder for him.

Pick # 15 (Hawthorn) - Jordan Lisle - Will go for a list need here in my opinion. Lisle has the making of a very good CHB.

Pick # 16 (Geelong) - Tom Swift - Cat's can afford to take the risk. They could have another Joel Selwood type selection on their hands here :o

Would love some constructive criticism.

why won't Port keep pick 4? Where do you think they'll use it?

Well done Cotch.

Just a question; why dont you think Port will keep their pick?

Lewis Johnstone is one that I am keen on. More keen on Trengove but I will be happy with Lewis.

I am very suprised that Mitch Robinson is not in anyones 1st rounders for a while.
Why?

I have a suspicion they'll use it for Kerr.

As for Robinson, just a matter of not fitting him in. Im sure he'll go by pick 20 though.

That will make West Coast very Rich in this years draft.

Pick 2, 4, 18, 20.. so on.

Edit - But yes; I do think Port may do that.

Will be very happy if ziebell/Hartlett is still around with the lions at pick #7

We don't need Johnstone, Walker is a year older and will play that 3rd forward role imo. We will pick a gun mid as we lack one.

I would rather Sidebottom than Trengrove to add another string to our midfield's bow.

That would be a fitting selection when they've picked the injured Varcoe and Selwood in the first round in two of the past three drafts.

JON ahead of Varcoe anyone? ;)

The injured Trengove could also be their go for pick 16.

The Swans dont need a ruckman (we will have 4 of them on our list next season) and Daniel Currie is ready for the AFL.

What the Swans do desperately need is a Key Position forward to replace Barry Hall or Michael O'Loughlin (whoever retires first).

Ideally we want

- Key Position Forward
- Height between 190cm and 196cm
- Potential Weight between 90kg and 105kg
- Strong Hands
- Good kick

McKernan has more chance of making it as a KPP in the AFL than a ruck.

VanBerlo, Dangerfield, Mackay, Vince, Porplyzia ?
What there not guns?

Even though I would love a midfielder for our first pick, we wont get one, unless one of Ziebell, Hartlett or Sidebottom is available.

We may even get Robinson with our 2nd pick if lucky.

How is he a gun? 5 possesions in 2 games?

Yeah Freo can't draft ....who won the rising star this year champ - Cothin was it?

Ibbo, Mayne, Warnock ....all pretty good efforts (Hinkis doing very well too) - if we don't trade picks we do all right.

To be fair - all of the first round mocks now look alike to me. It is just the same dozen names moved slightly up or down.

I'd be very interested in how you (and others) see rounds 2 & 3 falling.

Porplyzia isn't a midfielder, he's a half-forward.

Dangerfield's played 2 games and no matter what you deluded Adelaide supporters will have us believe, there is still a chance that he won't work out. Wait and see with him until he has established himself properly.

And finally, you've named 5 midfielders there (4 if we discount Porplyzia), do you know how many midfielders each team requires in today's game? Have a guess (hint: it's in double figures).

Great to see someone mix it up a little. Personally (and I am in the minority I'm sure) but if both Ziebell and Hartlett were available at our pick, I'd take Hartlett.

Porplyzia is a midfielder. He just has been playing in the forward line.

Dangerfield may not work out.. but I know he will. We shouldnt of played him. He was 17/18.

And how many forward do Crows have?
1? Brett Burton, Maybe Moran, Gill.. no way, Jericho gone, Mcgregor gone..

Umm...
