Nathan Ablett or Tom Lonergan?

Nathan, give him time, it'll be worth it in the long run. Btw Lonergan cant be selected due to being a rookie and im pretty sure not the nominated one.

TC:eek:

Has to get promoted to the AFL list again first but yeah it can realistically happen.

he was a star today! loved it when celebrating a goal high fiving members of the cheer squad!
gun of a bloke

The powers that be at Geelong may seriously consider him given that he is a 197cm mobile player. I think that he could be very handy as a backline option next year with a summer in the gym under his belt.

Yep, he might not be as naturally talented as Nablett, but I think he is maybe more committed and harder at the contest than Nathan. If he could play games like todays in the AFL, then he would be a great option.

you must surely be kidding yourself...

this is the VFL which is so far below the AFL standard it is not funny

as great a story Longergan was today and how nice it was for him to comeback so well, he simply isn't up to AFL standard...i'm sorry, he isn't..

good VFL player, that is all

Well done today though Lonergan! You were great!

I do not think that he would be seriously considered as a forward option in front of Hawkins, Nablett or Mooney but he could be a handy player in the backline. He is tall and mobile and was playing very well in the backline last year. He was selected in the senior side against Melbourne in defense when he was injured.

Shalom Rabbi ! Hope you had a good Yom Kippur (it was on the most recent Shabbat in case you didn't know! - And a very happy Rosh Hashana this year!)

You're absolutely right about Nathan playing down back, he's done it before and has stepped up, got involved and gets some confidence down there, Hank Playfair mentioned on the interview on ABC today after the Magoo's GF win stating a similar thing.

i am still lost for word about tommy today he made me shed a tear, what a great story he has become i was thinking hes careea would be over, but today when he went foward and kicked five, i was in shock he kicked cobergs intire score in a 1/4. and when he did his speach thanking his mum and dad pointing them out in the crowed, magic stuff, NAB before tommy but gee i hope we keep hold of him now.

The whole team was great on Sunday.

It will be a shame to see Gardiner and Playfair traded or something. I've a soft spot for both of them.
