OK me and my mate, who is a collingwood supporter have been arguing about J. Hird and N. Buckley. so I want you're opinion who's better.

They were both that good that you wouldn't care who was in your side. I think Hird had the ability to turn games more, and could play kick bags more often, which gets him over the line.

Both were fantastic players, and I AM bias, however I think Hird had more strings to his bow.

The OP carefully created the poll options to allow for supporter bias, also making it public so we can see who has voted for who, yet somehow a couple of genius Dons supporters found the urge to select the standard Hird option irresistable! Good work fellas - the rest of us will never know! And we will also now regard the voting in Hird's favour with the utmost integrity and respect... just as you were hoping, eh?

Mate, that's just ridiculous. The word 'easily' should never be used when discussing these players. You're allowed your opinion, but IMO you're way off the mark with your order.

I voted Hird (of course - with the EFC rider) but was also a huge fan of Buckley. I also think Voss was behind both. Did not have the brilliance of Hird or the ballwinning ability of Buckley.

I agree with Voss being behind, but if anything Voss was the best ballwinner of the lot. Buckley was the best user of the ball, and probably the best finisher (though Hird has a say here)... and he got more of the ball (perhaps that's what you meant).

Yep, and no Collingwood fans did the same with Buckley? Why did you feel the need to only single out Essendon supporters?

Correct. An Essendon-supporting mate and I came up with this analogy: Voss was Tendulkar, Hird was Lara. The former was consistently better, the latter's best was out of this world. To take it further, Harvey = Ponting. Buckley? Maybe Kallis.
