I have grave concerns over Browny, he has a groin strain, and is 31.

Will you be keeping him and hoping he can be back to his best in a week or two, or will you be wary of a longer spell and a slow return to high scores?

He was a risky pick on the basis that not a lot of people went for him, he has scored well in half of his games and poorly in half.

Is it time to end the experiment and direct swap him for Reiwoldt or Franklin?

I've heard that the groin injury is all 'bull'. Basically being omitted because of his commitment to the game and his team.

Makes sense seeing he appeared on 3 different channels promoting his fashion brand all last week.

i dunno what to do , i might get rid of him for either riewoldt, franklin, harvs, richo

for all his groin strains and lack of commitment

he is still one of the better scoring forwards at the minute

and generally being a forward he hasn't exactly got a lot of supply this year.

i am going to keep him - worst comes to worst i trade him in a couple of weeks to another premium like didak and make $80k

rickshee who is your dp of.

looks familiar but never been able to put a name to it.

honestly, don't have a clue, just hilarious.

Like to think that his Name is Carlos who has gone undecover to smuggle heroin across the Chilean border.

I would keep him defiatnly, has played further up the ground and looked like he could be a decent pick. You picked him as a keeper so why trade him if he doesnt have an LTI.

Worst comes to worse you keep him as a 6th or 7th forward.

I think a few people might be struggling this week with Skipworth, Simmonds, N.G.Brown, Robinson all out. Pretty popular players especially Skippy and Robinson. The other 2 might struggle to get back into the tigers side like J.Bowden did last year.

I'm going keep him and reassess in a week. Taylor Walker should be able to put together a fair score against Melbourne, and if I decide to sell Brown I'll be able to get a much cheaper price on a falling star. Did the same with Bock and ended up being pretty fortunate that he came back after just one week.

My thoughts exactly - wait a week or two to see if he is coming back in - if not then someone like Didak, Franklin or Pav should be at a more attractive price and we could effectively downgrade Brown for 60-80k profit and to a better player!!

I would advise all to trade Brown to Harvey/Roo/Franklin and then pick him up in a couple of weeks again.

Smartest thing to do really and then you dont cop a zero. I mean thats all we worry about now days isn't it, NO ZEROS.

I would keep but my season is hanging by a thread as it is and I can't risk a zero. A downgrade to Harvey gives me the money required to upgrade Skippy, too.
Didn't they guy who won the Car last year lose his first two league matches? So I don't think that two losses is that important.

I understand where you're coming from and normally I'd agree but being 700 points behind the leader already means I'm gonna have to take risks.

I'm much more interested in overall ranking than league win anyway - besides, the person sitting first in my (main) league happens to be sitting first overall.

Thats the plan:thumbsu:

Even if he misses 2 weeks it wont be to bad because he's averaging 91 so far which has been quite good compared to the other premium forwards.

I'd put money on him doing that groin in the first match against Carlton. Was unsighted after half time after looking like scoring 100. I'm glad Wallace has come out and stated that he had a tear and not the dreaded OP which has decimated my team in a few years gone by.

I'm keeping him.

Fair effort to rack up almost 60 touches in the 2 weeks following. I don't buy it, he was probably dropped (which is better than an injury in the long-term).

Saving a trade > 100 points

You forget that trades are not only used to upgrade players. They need to be used to cover injured players too. If I did not have Skipworth go down this week too, then I could cover Brown, but alas. As I have 19 trades left, I am in a position where I can afford to eliminate risks like this situation.

Nathan Brown has a groin strain and is 31, this could derail the first half of his season if it lingers. People like you who hold onto their trades at all cost need to realise that sometimes a trade needs to be used to eliminate the element of risk. I stated that I am more interested in overall ranking and therefore 100 points is worth it, especially considering my new boy Reiwoldt dominated tonight and seems to have put paid to his slow start this year.
