Got this the other day. I made a 7 foot PF and got picked up by the Knicks. After a rubbish first game trying to get to know their style, I had a decent second game going for 9 points 7 Rebs 2 Blocks 2 Assists and only 1 turnover, which is weird for me as in the other incarnations of this game I would turn it over non stop.

The only thing I hate about this game is when I want to hurry the play up it won't always let me skip cut scenes and it takes forever to get the ball back in play sometimes. But other than that, it's pretty good.

6'6 PG...got drafted at 12 by Jazz. OK first season there and got traded to Heat at start of season..they still had LeBron, Bosh and DWade there...got 59 points in one game and took the starting possy.

My teammate chemistry kept going down and after a couple of games with them they wanted me out..got traded back to Jazz and got into the All-Stars with them in 2nd season.

Damn HEat

Most people that have this game think if they make a 7 foot+ tall player that it will be alot easier which it somewhat is but there is a catch that most people miss.

The taller you make a player the less skill points you get a game as opposed to making a 5 foot something player you get added skill points.

Dont know hiw many people know that fact or not but it is interesting to know that 2k has made it this way so that you can make it easy on your self and make a 7 foot shooting guard and drain three's all day but you will not be reward as heavily as if you make a 5-6 foot shooting guard and realy work for your shots and help your team mates.

Do you guys play with "Run Plays" set to on? I do for the realism aspect, but that's probably why I don't rack up the crazy numbers you guys do.

I run plays but don't have them automatically called by the CPU. If you have them turned on you'll never get fast break points.

Has anyone been selected for the NBA All-Star weekend squads? Either for the Rising Stars or the All-Star team?

How do you get selected in this?

Have a really good season and your league popularity has to be highish to get fan votes.

Just finished my 3rd season with my PF at Thunder rated 87. Averaged 24/10/5 and won MVP, finals MVP and our 2nd ring in a row.

I then went into free agency and they only could offer me the same as my rookie wages (1.8m?) because of Durant and Westbrook. Kings offered me 13 mil a year + player option so joined Cousins, Evans, Thorton to form a top notch team.

I had no idea about height and weight, so just made my shooting guard a carbon copy of Kobe Bryant.

Anyone having trouble with their team giving up way too many offensive rebounds in My Player?

I'm a PG so its not my job, but no matter what team I play for we give up double, sometimes triple the offensive boards that we can muster. Is there a way to fix this?

I have this problem in association mode. But I can probably attribute a lot of that to my team's woeful defensive rating..

I had got drafted to the knicks and had an average first year picked it up in my second year ( which i am in now ) won my first 5 games and then went on to lose my next 25 games and in every one of the losing games i was in the lead untill it went to me on the bench and i have to sim back int the game.

Every time the sim stops and i come back into the game we are losing by a big margin like 10 or more point deficit so i traded out and got traded to the bulls and won my first 2 games averaging 30+ points and then have lost the next three also i was averaging 30 + in all my games from the knicks before i asked for a trade.

So my question is does this happen to anyone else ?

Teammates boxing out is pretty much non existant unfortunately, its really rage inducing.

Yes, very frustrating. You get in front of your man, box out correctly and some bozo just wanders past his man on the other side of the key and takes the rebound away. Makes you wonder why you bother.

Well I caved. I got it for $40 off of ebay. Love it, the only thing is my player (SF) doesnt like to dunk anymore, he is 6 foot 6 and dunk with a dunk and vert at 90 and he hardly dunks. He used to go up peoples backs on fast break but not anymore. Does anyone hage this problem?

Once the trade deadline is here I will start a Knicks season, nearly there!

Ahh ****. Association mode as the Knicks I'm currently 22-29, playing 8 min quarters on I think HOF difficulty.

After a shit start I traded in Channing Frye, Grant Hill, Michael Redd, JR Smith and a few other depth players to finally have a good solid roster.

Anyway just had a 5 win streak, and was up 72-57 in the last period v Lakers (after being down by 6 at half time) when Melo got injured. Went on to lose by 6, Melo was not only my best offensive weapon but had also done a great job guarding Kobe in the 2nd half.

I'm sitting 9th in the conference but now with no Melo for the next 10-15 games, I could struggle. Very frustrating after I thought I'd turned it around with big wins against Chicago, Orlando and most likely the Lakers.

Needed this rant. Grant Hill is also restricted by injury atm so my starting SF may have to be Balkman :o

I'm into my 2nd season with a 77 rating or so and very handy averages. I average 24 points a game with about 6 assists as a point guard, playing 5 min quarters.

I really have issues with the games trading though. I played my first season with the suns before requesting a trade to Philly. However, Philly have traded everybody out and just have a bunch of big guys running around.

Myself
Gortat
Iggy
Aldridge
George

are the starting five with nothing but a bunch of randoms to come on after that.

I can sometimes get assists from George but the guy always stalls his shots so even when he makes them I don't get the assist, lol. I sometimes get fast break assists aswell. Odom and Aldridge get me absolutely nothing while Gortat or one of the young guys get me most of them. I really have to score heavily to get good SP because I haven't really bothered to load up my rebound points.

I just don't get the games trade logic. It seems stupid; I wish they would ask me who I wanted to play with.

Playing in some association mode at the moment, just a quick short and sharp 28 game season and now getting into season 2 after getting knocked out in the first round. I uploaded the current draft class and then stock piled draft picks so now my team looks like this.
PG - Teague, Kendall Marshall (UNC)
SG - Brooks, Doron Lamb (Kentucky), Tim Hardaway Jr (Mich St)
SF - Durant, Harrison Barnes (UNC)
PF - Aldridge, Martin
C - Hibbert, O'Neil, Zeller (UNC)

Played my first game last night and beat the Hornets by 18 or so which was great cos i got to play all these guys i had drafted for good minutes. Marshall and Barnes are really easy to use, Hardaway Jr has a hard release and Zeller is my number 3 but i got him minutes in the 4th qtr with such a big lead.

In my first season i led the scoring with KD, got most improved with Teague and ROTY with Brooks.

I fantasy drafted BTW.

Jut started a My Player im a PF 6'8 got traded to houston, bout 12 games and not averaging big numbers or minutes as scolas there, just wanted to check up and get some tips to making it big, how big quarters does everyone play??

Scored a game high 19 points for the Rookies in the All star rising star game, then followed up with 5 points from 3 minutes in the All Star game. Pretty happy with that.

My boy, Charles Outlaw, just finished his first season with the Knicks. Averaged about 11 points and 7 rebounds a game and I got promoted to the starting lineup just before the All-Star game when they moved Stoudamire to the C spot and gave me the PF spot. Got knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by the Magic.

Up to a 72 overall and have a 99 rating on rebounds. Just have to lift my vertical and blocks stats and I could have a dominant defensive player on my hands.

started my player mode with the new rosters. decided to create a 5'10 Athletic PG and name him after my daughter 'Aleeah Jordan' weird but effective because she watches me play and everytime i score with her player she giggles in laughter cause she really thinks its her. so its win win! spending quality time with my daughter and getting some quality playing time at the same time :)

anyway had a shocker in the rookie showcase and was drafted to the knicks at pick 17. played a few games and not getting many minutes. a trade could be on the cards!

Question for PS3 users: Does the game do that freeze thing at the starting load screen like 2k11 did or have they fixed it so you can be connected to the net at the same time as loading?

Must be fixed as I don't notice any issues.

Load time is significantly slower at the start screen if you're connected to the net though.

Anyway, I'm back to being a bench player getting about seven minutes a half (on 12m/quarter) after being selected on the bench for the All-Star game.

Good work 2k.
