If you really need to go to the ED you're not driving either. you're riding in an ambulance. If you're driving to ED or being driven to ED you don't need to be there.

Public transport to visit? Sure you can.
Family definitely wouldn't follow along behind.

Round 2: Motion for further community consultation lost as West Torrens residents front the council - The Advertiser

A motion for further community consultation on the Crows’ proposed move to Thebarton has been lost despite pleas from West Torrens residents at Tuesday night’s meeting.

10-year-old Dash braved the council to say he will be 94-years-old when the lease ends.

“I am 10 and just so you can understand my view, I’ll be old, 94 when this agreement ends. Kids my age would like a skatepark and different outdoor areas like grass and trees … I have no say in this process, but I will have to live with it,” Dash said.

Mr Conroy gave a speech and said it was a “shame” that clarity only comes from the council when in person.

“Please consider deeply how your decisions will have an impact on the course of the next 40 to 84 years,” Mr Conroy said.

It's only a 42 year lease right? I wish it was 84 years.

Can someone sum up to me in 50 words or less what the residents’ complaints are?

Is it noise, space, demolition of greenery? What’s the actual gripe?

Where has this protesting been when Kings was going to be used as a builders yard?
Where has this protesting been when Thebby Oval has been surrounded in wire and fencing for the last decade (minimum)?
Where will the protesting be when all this area is developed at cost to the Crows?
What gets me and I'm happy to be informed, but why is everyone always so against the Crows in this state. They generate massive income and provide so much statewide emotional stability when they are up and about, it just baffles me.

Lack of consultation and (I believe) Loss of access to greenspace. Even though the ovals will be public access when they're not in use for training.

So a whole lot of "Old man yells at cloud" about it.

It's genuinely embarrassing how these idiots run around trying to stop any and all development.
They have no idea why they don't like it. Other than it's some sort of change. It's pathetic. The swimcentre one at North Adelaide was a classic. Whinge it up and then it costs $80m of government money. Just ridiculous.

And they're STILL whinging. Because they lose a couple of trees.

If you're not expected to be alive by the time the project is complete you shouldn't get a say

Would cut down about 95% of the negative feedback

At the rate this is progressing, none of us will be alive when it's completed

When I think of Thebarton as my folks are Eagles supporters and me a Sturt supporter. I remember coming out of Eagles games as a young kid and a guy out the front of the gates selling hot pasties. Once you got your hot pocket on a cold day, he would cover them back up with hessian bags.

One of the complaints was it's got a 42 year lease on it, with an option for another 42 years after that, so it wasn't fair that his kids kids wouldn't get a say in the matter. So now those who aren't even alive need to be consulted!

Ahhh, that makes sense.

So they want a 42 year consultation so his kids kids can have their say.
