Not a fan of either of them. The first looks a bit plain, although i like how the cats in there.

The second is terrible, looks so English Premier League.

Can someone show me this 'cartoon cat' everyone keeps refering too (as our current logo). I've always considered the shield to be our logo, and I love the sheild. It's a timeless, and changing it kinda annoys me?!

The shield is as boring as bat shit. I want something with a cat on it, seeing as how we are the Cats, and these satisfy my desire for it's return.

if the 'redesign' applies to the half cat. dont care in the slightest.
But if it applies to the GFC crest, and it sounds like it does otherwise why would they have to redesign the jumper, Ill be FURIOUS:mad:

Another example of GFC doing the right thing under the current administration.

Could've gone a bit pear-shaped, but i had faith.

With the new jumpers and gear through ISC, with this logo, the Club should fill the coffers nicely.

The second one isn't too bad. Don't like the first one at all, and don't prefer either over the shield...*sigh* we've done a Hawthorn.

I don't really like the second one, it looks too old.
The first one is odd looking and I'd rather our current one over it.
They don't look very "timeless" they look pretty old to be honest.
It could have been worse though.
The cat in the second one kind of looks like a Slazenger logo...
Maybe I'll just have to wait and see what it looks like on the apparel.

The first thing I thought was it looked like an english soccer logo, but I think it is growing on me.

I was expecting to scroll down and find out they were a joke...

They have EPL written all over them... why not re-invent the old cartoon cat?

I guess i will have to get use to them.

The second logo is a winner for me. Our club is one of the oldest football clubs in the world. It's about time we started celebrating and selling that fact........

And just on the news article in the Herald Sun. Whats with the reporter referring to our new logo as having a "meaner looking cat"? Our old one never had a cat on it. Unless they are referring to 2 or 3 logos ago.

I have no idea why he said that. As far as I know we retired the 'cat' logo and just have the one in my avatar (shied, with hoops).

This is by far the best - has a bit of grunt and humour, and I liked it accompanying the GFC shield. Of the suggested new ones the first is OK - the second is awful. It looks like the alley cat that has just pissed in your backyard and is slinking away.

surely by "cartoon cat" they are refering to that abonishment that appeared on one of those GF newsprint posters - the one thats used for the junior supporter markets like jsquad?


someone should fotoshop those new ones with a solid blue - i don't think our interpretation of 'em is helped by em being washed-out.

Why can't we find them anywhere? Someone mentioned to me that they're in todays Herald Sun (I will be getting it at lunchtime to confirm) but can be found no-where on line other than here.
