Its an important question you raise re Patterson. Certainly theres a station but is there a suburb. Locals will tell you Patterson has a real identify with Tax Agent Coffee Shop and the murals in the station underpass.

Its in Bentleigh, but because Bentleigh station is right on the edge of McKinnon/Bentleigh, its named after Patterson Rd which it runs along.
