Unfortunately its impossible to know if Assange is still on the level as a publisher or if this is just completely made up bollocks.

There's a reason why Jeep recalled a gazillion of their latest Grand Cherokees a year or two ago.

A couple of mates in the States hacked into the, iirc, entertainment system which in turn allowed them to control just about everything else. One bloke was in the car doing 60mph down a freeway while his mate was back in their apartment on his laptop doing all sorts of s**t to the car which included speeding up, slowing down, isolating it, music volume up and down, windows, lights, you name it, he had control of the lot.

I'm at work atm but I'm sure it shouldn't be too hard to find the story, it was on one of the larger American current affairs type programs and was replayed over here.

friends hack jeep grand cherokee

type the above into your search engine, there's heaps on it.

Single person with mental illness, the go to BS police line. You know you are in trouble when even the Mirror doesnt believe you.

(CNN)A man who injured seven people with an ax at a train station in Dusseldorf has been arrested, German police said.

Police described the suspect, who lives in nearby Wuppertal, as "a 36-year-old man from the former Yugoslavia."
He "obviously has mental problems," Dusseldorf police said in a statement.
Of the seven people wounded in the Thursday night attack, three suffered severe injuries. Two women were among the injured.
Police believe the suspect acted alone.

I don't see how this is an effective way to execute a terrorist arrack. How much organisation does an attack with garden tools need?

A more logical explanation is copycat attacks by nutters.

Stuff all and i suspect that is the point. Getting firearms isn't necessarily that easy. The IRA even had issues getting fertiliser for their bombs.

Getting an axe or buying a car - much, much easier.

As for the "nutter" line that police use, thats precisely why they use it and Trump was told (he ignored it) not to bang on about Islamic extremism ie to prevent copy cats.

I don't see how this is an effective way to execute a terrorist arrack.

Trotsky may have disagreed.

Turkey Netherlands thing hotting up. You would think one party in the Dutch elections would be grateful for all this. Not sure how clever it is by the Turkish president, then again, I'm sure he couldnt care less.

Turkey has announced a series of measures in retaliation for a Dutch decision to block its ministers from campaigning for a referendum.

Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said the Dutch ambassador would be barred from returning to Ankara, and high-level political talks suspended

This is really concerning:

The foreign affairs minister, Julie Bishop, who has just returned from talks in the US with countries involved in the fight against Isis, says authorities are concerned about an estimated 600 foreign fighters from south-east Asia surviving the campaign in Iraq and Syria and returning home.

“There is concern that Isis may well seek to declare a caliphate, an Islamic caliphate, in the southern Philippines,” she told Sky News on Sunday.

The leader of the Philippines-based terrorist group Abu Sayyaf had recently been declared an emir, or leader, by Isis, Bishop said.

It's sad how far this once safe country has fallen. Many parts of Sweden are simply not safe for women any more.

"For some reason, some nights with a certain kind of music attracted large groups of men who can't behave themselves - I really don't know why," said Pagenkemper. "But it is unacceptable to have guests or staff feeling unsafe."

"Many parts of Sweden" - you're an idiot.

More bad news for Merkel. Her folly on immigration may well see her lose an election she should win easily.
