For f***'s sake, we could barely get a straight answer on Ross Gibbs qualification more than 15 years ago. Clearly there ISN'T a definitive list of players that's been supplied by the AFL, as they changed their ruling once queries around Bryce Gibbs were raised.

If there was a draftable player with a link to an SANFL footballer and we never worked out that they could qualify - THAT'S incompetent. In this case, by the time Max started to show anything as a young kid he was recommended to us and we placed him in our program.

Sort out his kicking for goal.. and he could be a real top end talent.

Turns 16 in August. 17 in August 2023. Not sure what draft eligible that makes him, assuming 2024.

Relatively quiet with only 4 touches but conditions weren't ideal for a skinny 3rd tall defender. Wasn't afraid to put his body on the line which was good to see. North don't run with a huge forward line so he spent a lot of time matched up on the smaller forwards from what I saw. Wouldn't mind seeing how he goes on a dryer deck against taller opponents but thought he was reasonable defensively.

Are you seriously suggesting that if Max grew and became an underage all Australian, that the fact he had a footballing dad would just never come up? That the entirety of SA football would just forget?

I would hope they have a database of eligible SANFL players that the rule applies to. There's not that many that actually fall into that category given the 200 games needed.
From that list by age 13 a professional club would know whether they are FS. That's when these kids would start getting onto publicly listed team sheets, and when recruiters start paying attention to potential recruits 5 years out.
