List Mgmt. NGA, Father son watch

Why would that require any approval from the AFL? DNA would show all.
Was a DNA sample ever part of the Cochrane approval? Never heard that mentioned I thought it was all done off investigating Dougie's heritage via family tree/records?

I was talking about Grey's suggestion of playing away from home. While I think about it, you should only need to identify as someone's son to qualify under the FS rule! ;)

This would actually be ugly.

Can you imagine being the Crows official trying to get FS for a prospect that didn't even know his dad wasn't his genetic father until recently?

Media nightmare.

To be honest I'm over this whole secret player that may/may not be eligible to the Crows as a NGA.
Meh. If it's a troll is a very elaborate one.
If it's not it's something fun.

To me it looks like we intend to get ready made players this offseason so I don't feel like getting too invested.

Will we find out who the potential player is, if the ruling doesn’t go our way?

I am curious how we’re trying to get this through at this stage of the year.

No trolling. Genuine intel.
But the longer this takes the more concerning it is for us (and the Crows). The Crows and Family believe they have a strong case.
I'm sure no club has made an 'absolute promise' to draft him but the family and manager are constantly meeting clubs, including one senior coach who flew over for the morning to meet them himself (not Clarko) several weeks ago. Has had numerous follow up meets with clubs in the last week.
Because it is not my story. I am not going to say his name. If people work it out in the next 'fortnight' or so, then so be it. He has met all 18 clubs at least once. His name has only been mentioned by one poster on here. There has been some incorrect info on his bio which has been repeated on several podcasts which might be off putting to most of us not familiar with him (absolutely not character related - he is a fine upstanding young man). The clubs know otherwise, hence their significant interest.
Plugger, I am
plugger, looking back through the thread I have a guess.
He has only been mentioned once in the past 3-4 months.
Went down with an ACL in his under age year but did rack up 32 touches in his only game last year.
Is aligned to our nga teams so if he does met the requirement he would be eligible to us.
He has been selected in the SA under 18’s squad. Good vertical leap in pre-season testing. Articles and himself describe him as an Inside mid that models game on bontempelli and Cripps.
“My strength is definitely strength in the contest. So just physical power and being clean with the ball in tight. Some things I want work on are just that burst out of contest. I’m all good at getting the ball, but then trying to get on the outside. I’m working on my kick a bit, so I feel like my kick’s in a good state now. That was the one thing I wanted to work on coming into preseason, just trying to be a bit more damaging when I do get on the outside.
Am I close?

South Adelaide are aligned to Port via the SANFL.

i.e. Benny Barrett and Zemes Pilot both at South and Port NGA's.

Archie has been highly rated right through the junior pathways.

Can't see how you're close given the South Adelaide/ Port Power link.

They are not suggesting a South player.

Archie Van Dyk is the player that someone came up with as the player who's name was mentioned once and he most certainly plays for South and has right through the SANFL pathway.

Dougie Cochrane also played for Adelaide's NGACrows team previously.

Exactly because he's a Central District's player who are aligned to the Crows Academy along with Glenelg, North and Sturt. The Crows Academy team is selected from the 4 SANFL NGA clubs aligned to the Crows being Centrals, North, Glenelg and Sturt.

You do realise when Dougie played for the Crows Academy it was well prior to his indigenous heritage claims?

The point is things change. Who knows what is going to happen, I just wouldn't be ruling anything out because he plays for South.

Never mentioned South Adelaide. Pretty sure Plugga never mentioned South Adelaide either.

I am thinking North Adelaide who are in the crows NGA area. Averaging 20 disposals, 4 marks, 4 tackles, 5.5 contested, 3 inside 50’s, 1 rebound 50, 1.5 goals, twice in best players from 4 games, but only going at 50% efficiency. Could be because he is an inside mid

He looks to have good midfield craft, no idea how he'd be attainable for us though?

Two problems are surely it’s getting abit late to be allowed to add somone into the nga or become eligible for a player. The other picks wise we will need them for players like Bailey if his price is matched.
Unless we move on Rob and a Keane/pedlar or something to free up some picks

Would love to get Long as well this draft
