The biggest problem for North is that football isn't played on paper, or a laptop.

The team has been reduced to a KPI focused, heartless group of individuals.

Whilst I agree, there is a bloke named McDonald and another named Garner who have a fair dinkum crack in the 2s.

Even last year Nahas for all his limitations stuck out like dogs balls with his endeavour.

Be interesting to see who gets the number 11 next year.

There isn't. It's a catchphrase that at the end of the day means nothing.

Brad Scott was right to get rid of it. It used to piss me off when it was made out the only way we won was because of Shinboner Spirit. It was like we assembled the 22 biggest spuds to play AFL and we somehow managed to pluck wins out of our arse.

i'm prepared to have hemorrhoids the size of cricket balls, if we can pull some wins out of our arse

Kangatime is spot on, we need to return to Shinboner Spirit, especially regarding the membership campaign for 2016. I suggest something new and original like:

Spirit one and all.

or maybe:

Spirit. Then. Now. And Forever.

Well at least we'd save some money on the design, and surely they'd have some spare caps and lanyards lying around they could re-purpose. We might even be able to trot this one out again (with a few minor changes):

Spirits, One or Ten. You'll need them!

Well anyone who grew up watching test cricket might have noted that Border, Boon and later Steve Waugh would just not give in and bat no matter what was going on around them. Waugh left a bunch of shots in the sheds about 6 years in and became a much more ruthless player.

We have a bunch of Kim Hughes types. A golden boy who once described himself as the best white batsman in the world - with a test average of 37! So yeah a couple of exceptional games and talent wasted without the required mental toughness.
