Scomo admitted today that with fires, floods, vaccines and parliament house shenanegans, he's found it hard to juggle his balls.

Perhaps he should consult with more experienced government staffers posting YouTube tutorials in this area.

Yes! I saw that on the news tonight. I heard the comment to the journo live on the radio today, but I didn't realise who he said it to until I saw it tonight. And that idiot journalist says "no, I wasn't aware", lol! Journo looked gobsmacked for once. How did Scomo know? ASIO spying on FOX? Murdoch will be mortified. Crossed my mind that the culprit in question might be Peta Credlin (that's culprit, not victim!).

How did Scomo know about a confidential complaint at NewsCorp but didn’t know about an alleged rape 20m from his office, when nearly all his senior staff knew about it?

Something doesn’t add up!

What does Peta make of it all?

When I read a story this morning that said rooftop solar owners may soon have to pay for supplying power to the grid because that would benefit the other 80% of domestic consumers who didn't have solar, I had to check my calendar. But no, April Fool's Day is still a week away. It's a genuine news report of what the AEMC said in its draft recommendations to government.

It turns out the story is a click-bait headline and while it's definitely worth reporting, the detail is somewhat different. It's a genuine problem and something has to be done.

The real story for me however was not reported. It's the chronic failure of successive governments to plan for the predictable surge in rooftop PV systems.

Business as usual.

Quite staggering to see what's (potentially) happening to European football right now with the announcement of the Super League.

Hopefully nothing we ever see the likes of in Australia in relation to the AFL.

It’s a bluff power play to get UEFA to scrap the Champions League changes.

UEFA and the clubs can’t let it happen.

Both will “negotiate” and the Champions League will continue unchanged or close to it

We have already got that in the AFL. The best 18 footy teams in the world are playing in the one comp (yes even Norf).

Aren't the Champions League changes purely about inviting more clubs into the fold? Regardless of whether it goes ahead or not, as a fan of any participating club I would be furious at the prospect of such an apparently greed driven move.

Nobody appears to want this other than those with a direct financial interest in the clubs involved.

Yes, but would it not be feasible for the larger, more financially stable clubs to decide to say "we're no longer going to contribute to the welfare of clubs continuously requiring distribution payments to stay afloat" and form their own invitation only Australian football super league? Perhaps we're better protected with the difference in ownership model of clubs compared to European football, or it can't happen at all here.

Maybe I have the wrong end of the stick here though given we don't have any qualifying competitions like the Champions League.

Champions league are intruding more clubs therefore the pot is spread out even more and more teams playing at that level will supposedly spread the talent wider.

The big teams have always wanted to control football and make sure they get the lions share so any hot to their coffers worn be accepted.

They have the opinion that why should Man U share any money with teams such as Shakhtyor from Belarus.

I don’t believe anyone wants this but the clubs are sending a message to UEFA saying without us the whole thing goes to sh!t so stop changing things that effect or brands and income

It’s all pretty simple to summarise this

UEFA said they want to expand the Champions League

The “big” clubs said nope we don’t want that

UEFA went and did it anyway

So the big clubs AEW saying F@ck you then

Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that a driver for doing this is that the Super League would also give them guaranteed access every year rather than needing to perform at a domestic level to get in?

In doing so it would also appear to destroy, or at least significantly shift, the fabric of European football from an equitable system towards one where the rich get richer and the rest can please themselves.

Yes and also no relegation

It’s a bluff mate, I’d be absolutely staggered if it goes ahead as it will destroy European football

I agree that they are bluffing BUT I think UEFA will call their bluff. They can’t have clubs running the competition.

Half of the 12 clubs are running on negative balance sheets and need the money otherwise they will have to have a fire sale. Even IF things go back to how it is now, they are still in financial ruin due to gross mismanagement.

Honestly think they both compromise

UEFA is screwed without those clubs and as you said the clubs are screwed without the cash.

It’s pure greed on both sides. UEFA get more games therefore more revenue and the clubs want to keep the pie they have.

Fans are the losers.

The situation has come up several times before. It will get negotiated somehow that the teams who make it through to the knock out stages get more distributions. The deck will end up stacked in favour of the big clubs and everyone will back down.

Yep the big clubs will say they won

UEFA will say they won

The Super League adding Arsenal and Tottenham showed how weak their hand was which will hurt their negotiating power. Neither team belong in the league if it was a reality

There has been similar noise in F1 back when Ecclestone was running it. On several occasions Ferrari, Williams and McLaren would threaten to start their own series to force a bigger share of the pie.

It seems that this is how things are negotiated in Europe.

Nothing but greed from business men that want more money for them at the end.

Gotta agree with the commie bashers on 3AW with the Vic govt not accepting assistance from the army for the people in areas that still have no power. What's up with that? Smells like they are too stubborn to accept help from a Lib government.

Milwaukee survive by half a shoe size. KD was amazing, one of the all time great series performances but couldn’t quite will them home. Happy for Giannis, he has copped a lot of shit for his game recently and he stood up when they needed it.

Atlanta-Philly the last series to be decided. Hawks wont go away but surely Philly finish them off tomorrow. Hopefully Simmons gets out of his rut.

Not sure who my pick for the title would be now. Could depend on how healthy Kawhi is.
