No it isn't. Nobody should make fun of someone else's physical attributes. Take the piss out of yourself... that's what most of the clever ones do. But the minute you target someone else, particularly those unable to respond for themselves or worse - have no control over the physical attribute the person is making fun of - makes you look pathetic and weak and shows you have very little ability to make people laugh without picking on others.
But what if its funny?
And makes people laugh?

Can anyone remember a thing with him a few years ago? I know it was him but I can't remember the details for the life of me.

I feel like maybe he said some things about Crows fans that crossed the line of banter and then for an apology he put out a video playing the victim because of mental health? Can't find any record of it but I'm sure it happened.

Yep I remember that as well, he has form

If that's their reason it's even more ridiculous. Go against the will of the actual existing fans just to maybe appease overseas broadcasters?
If fans preferred afternoon games, they'd actually go to them.

Fans like being performative about "tradition", but if we got a twilight or evening grand final, people would be all over it. They'd quickly forget their complaints.

The day grand final has fantastic attendance and viewership

Who are the people that would watch the grand final at night but wouldn't watch during the day?

Are you saying it would have exactly the same ratings?

Again, I think fans have shown their feelings about afternoon games.

Are there many other examples of sporting leagues having their peak event in the middle of the afternoon?

Why do people insist on getting offended by things comedians say?
In this particular case this lady didn't go to a comedy show. She didn't sign on to this "perfect pear" bullshit at a football game to have her partner not bother to show up, and then to be further humiliated by a "comedian" who saw it as a cheap laugh.

Bit of a difference if you ask me.

ANZAC Day, King’s Birthday, and Easter Monday games are all day games. They are also highly attended and rate highly. What that tells you is when people don’t have things like work or local sport interfering, you will get big numbers to day games, particularly when that game is a big event.

The GF is the same. There’s no local footy, and people plan their weekends around it.

A night GF would likely increase ratings, but only because it would attract more casual observers.

Real AFL fans, myself included, have experienced night GFs and still say they prefer the day game. What you’re suggesting is the league should disenfranchise the people who support the game year round, to hopefully attract a few extra casual observers.

How many Saturday afternoon games does Adelaide have?

Most games are not played on Saturday afternoon.

Anzac Day is due to the occasion of Anzac Day, the Kings Birthday crowds are now due to The Big Freeze. Both these games have one consistent - Collingwood.

Shit, the last three years at the MCG even our games against Collingwood have had crowds 65,930 (2023), 63,925 (2024) and 67,697 (2025).

We had two night grand finals, in 2020 and 2021. The ratings were good but not that different to other years and that was when people were stuck at home.

It's a small sample size but I don't think the ratings would be substantially different. People that want to watch the grand final already do.

Are there many other examples of sporting leagues having their peak event in the middle of the afternoon?

There are plenty. Three of the four tennis grand slam men's finals are played in the afternoon.

No, I'm saying let's have the best experience possible.

I think the entire day leading up to a game under lights would be a better experience.

I remember him crying on social media when he got layed off from FM radio.
Now he's absolutely EVERYWHERE
& I still can't work out why.
