Hard to argue that we can only win grand finals against teams whose home ground isn't the MCG as I agree we've lost 100% of all the Grand Finals we've played against teams whose home is the MCG (ie 1). What are talking about kane249 that seems a perfectly plausible statistical analysis and conclusion by Yamumluvsbigcox.

We also can't win if the GF is held on a day other than a Saturday as we've never won one on a day other than a Saturday before. Same goes if it is held after 1 October - never won one later than 1 October.

Seasons a marathon not a sprint. I think wce will steadily improve whilst hawthorn will start to feel it

but it's so true, Hawks only have to get to finals to be in with a legitimate shot at the flag. Such a class unit in finals, though they seem to enjoy close prelims.

If hawks make the GF against a non vic side they will have to be favourites anyway . The home ground advantage is just too great .
We have never beaten a team in a GF who has MCG as their home ground .

Yeah I meant the "big 4" as the melbourne media like to say. Hawthorn, Collingwood, essendon and carlton (richmond probably replaces them now) We have never beat in a final away but as you point out we have a pretty good record against the rest.

The club would no doubt be keen if he had sorted out his issues.

But Freo would be much keener given that Matt Taberner will be their best KPF in 2017 (currently).

Can't see McCarthy nominating us as we would struggle to get a game, but would be Freo's best tall forward.

Hopefully we offer him a reasonable deal and a fair trade to keep Freo honest.
