So if the Hawks go down I expect them to be breathing fire next week. Good test for our boys.
Absolutely.

hoping JJK is watching how Hawkins plays Frawley closely.

Hawkins has the size on our boy, but JJK was smashed to smithereens by Frawley in the GF, hope he comes and goes BANG

You should put a running goal tally in your sig as JJK's sponsor.

Watching the Geelong vs Hawthorn game - the Hawks are vulnerable. Yeah they could come out breathing fire in the second half and still win, but there are obvious weaknesses and we can beat them on their own turf. Most players looked to have lost a yard of pace from last year and our tall forwards should do a number on their defence.

Hopefully Hawthorn continue their slow start for another week.

Anyone apart from Ceglar a potential to return?

Not sure if JJK can learn much from Hawkins.

i just watched yesterdays replay and im not overly impressed. Our defensive pressure was non existent for most of the game and we made alot of mistakes and made poor decisions off half back. Hawks are still quality and will come breathing fire. we need to be on top of our game by next week. The cats are showing good signs and we play the in a couple of months in simmons.

What makes you say this?

Different than style of Player? Size, weight differential?

I'd like to hear your thoughts :)
Yes, it's what you've said. I see them as very different types of players in how they play FF.
JJK has great advantage in his aerobic capacity & work rate. Hawkins more the monster type bodying his opponent as his attribute.
JJK better kick at goal. He had an ordinary GF no doubt, but let down by his team mates.
Not bagging what you said, agree if there are any positives you can get how to play on an opponent you learn something.
I'm probably more referring to Hawkins being a bit overrated by some IMHO, and that I hope JJK learnt enough himself after GF.

Well that answer that the Hawks are good again. Shit!!!

This third quarter they have been brilliant.

Horrible quarter by Geelong. Mitchell given so much space to evade tacklers. Dangerfield the only one of their mids putting much of a fight.

Regardless I'm confident we will beat the Hawks next week. They will need to be a lot better then today to get near us. Seen a lot of poor ball movement and skill errors. No roughhead aswell is huge. Remember we have Gov as a swing man this year. Stick him in the forward line and Darling becomes loose third tall. Make Josh Gibson honest and actually man up for a change.

Eh Geelong are being seriously overrated. They finished 10th last year. Dangerfield does not make them a top 4 contender.

Their midfield is basically: Dangerfield, Selwood, Potato. It's even more shallow then ours and they have a worse ruck, forward line and back line.

So many times today Dangerfield or Selwood have tried to make a play and one of their potatoes completely stuffs it up.

Massive gap in intensity from this game to our game last night

If we aren't switched on we'll get steamrolled

Was unsure whether to buy into the preseason hype over Geelong but they are looking good today
Dangerfield was always going to improve their midfield, but the addition of Smith to help Stanley and free up Blicavs will be the defining factor in elevating their chances of going deep into the finals IMO.

Weren't umpires meant to be cracking down on playing for high tackles? It's been a joke this weekend.
