Also notice that he is a natural leader out there, like his brother, directing play and doing team lifting tackles, marks etc... Knew he was going to be a good player ...... But in these situation good teams just know how to win. Hawks are also the master of the rope-a-dope. They do enough throughout the year to make it to the end then go BANG in the business part of the season.

They spotted that one Mcgovern had a natural footy brain that made up for physical deficiencies would it of been much of a stretch to see if a brother might be the same way? God knows a few players have been selected on surname only.
