See also: refusing to draft key-position players, barring Apeness, even when they've failed to lure one over during the free agency period, preferring instead to believe that they'll just secure the next player they set their sights on.

Let's make a list:
- Clark
- Franklin
- McCarthy (because they traded everything they had for Bennell and weren't willing to part with a decent player)
- Hooker

Who else?
Carlisle

So that's interesting.
The flog commentators were fed it and ran with it for a bit.
Tazzie doesn't count as they are home games sold off to the Tazzie government.

Their 7th loss away in the home and away season in a row.
Well that simply isn't true because they beat us at subi last year and they sure as **** haven't played 7 games outside Victoria since then

Unlike the muppet commentators at CH ****stick to get something wrong

Plus they flogged Sydney in Sydney too. And Freo in Tasmania :P

My bad. I have a small problem of posting shit I hear from these flogs. Worst thing is I haven't been drinking tonight. :(

Are we that good?
Yes.
Gold Coast didn't show up today. No way is Geelong a 120 point better team then them.

Hardest thing for us is one day less break plus they play 2 in a row in Geelong.

Nic gives us the advantage over their lack of rucks and besides their score line today they really dont have much of a forward line.
Gold Coast played straight into their hands.
They'll find it hard to stop JK, Darling, Lycett/Nic up forward too.
Great test for us.

This feels very much like a 2014 season to me.

Not going to know till we face a genuinely good team at home (unless we go ahead and beat Geelong of course). On the other hand Freo were very good in 2014 and we lost both derbies, so 2014 form will probably see us play a final.

seriously just f**k off Geelong...you've had your day in the sun, you should be wallowing in the bottom eight by now!

Not looking forward to Danger cutting us up next week

Why is it that none of the super star West Aussie kids ever want to come home!!!

Not bitter at all, I swear!! :drunk:

Not a superstar but we should have gone after Coniglio last year; he took a long time to sign the contract so somebody (us?) must have been interested. Local boy, West Coast fan growing up… I know it is still early days but he would have been a better choice (or at least on a par with) than Redden.

It's away

Can't see that happening at all
Not at all
We were the only club to beat every single team last year.
I was at the Geelong game last year. It was great. 58 points. Thanks for showing up Geelong.

Question is wether Geelong are a 59 point better team at home and with Dangerfield.

If WCE don't want to win enough we will get pounded .
WCE may be good on paper but the tight knit bond on the field doesn`t feel last year at this stage .
But that goes for any team. Look at Richmond. They've had years where they beat the grand finalists then lose to the team that finished 9th.

Beat the CollyWobbles first but can't see why we wouldn't at least put up a fight in Geelong.

Geelong are nowhere near Sydney or the Hawks.

.....

My point being, you can't trade peanuts for talent.

Instead you try and get Gumbleton, Sylvia and Pearce.
I get the point you're making, I just don't think it's right in regards to Fremantle. Ross Lyon's MO is bringing in average older players with mature bodies and fitting them into his system at the expense of developing youth. They've had plenty of opportunities to rejuvenate their list with youth, they just chose not to for a couple of years and look where it's gotten them.

Come september at the g they have a better chance than us.....

Injuries haven't helped them or the off field stuff either.

Adding in Swallow, O'Meara, Bennell etc would make them a much different prospect to face.
