Slow day the other day and found a place to play it online, for free, without any plugins or downloads. Was my all time favourite game as a kid on the NES. You youngens might not know it, but a few of you around my age might. Have a go, it's awesome. So are the team choices, like Perth, Hobart, Canberra etc

Fringe players at a bottom 4/6 club - not exactly desirable players.

Hill, Cripps, Hutchings ... JK all worked out pretty well for us.

JK was never fringe - he was just young and emerging.

OF the other 3, their ages were between 20 and 22 when we recruited them with plenty of development left - and they still remain at the very lower end of our best 22.

Matera is 24 - and would struggle to make our rookie list. He is more akin in age and list position to Dick, Morton.

Best game ever. Never had it myself but used to play at our Cousin's place all the time.

Would be better than having Colledge & Lucas Rookies and be a better player than Karps. Not a fan of Matera but if he was to come cheap as a rookie he can at least come into the side at worst if we have injuries.

Haha, really?? Practise my friend. The trick is never handball, just kick. It's f**king hard to kick goals though, I usually score like 6.23 or something stupid like that. Fun game though.

Well it doesn't help that I only won one hit out then they seemed to have programmed McGovern into the computers AI intercepting every kick I tried to make into the 50

I used to love taking Perth all the way to the Premiership.

I loved the glitches like occasionally when the back pocket would have a ping for the goals

Yeah the key to goalkicking is getting just inside the 50 when the bar is small and having a ping when you see the bar is at the side as by the time you press the button its dead centre. Usually kick a bag with CHF.

I always seem to have a long range ping, kick it out on the full, then you just intercept the kick in, and kick a goal from close range. Such a simple game compared to games these days, still my favourite AFL game out of all the ones I've played. Although it does get a bit too easy after a while.

As a long term Eagles fan I can assure you that is the correct way to football.

He'd be no different to Colledge and Lucas - he'd be simply clogging up our list and playing for East Perth. If he ever got to play for our club - we'd have major issues (See Cale Morton).

Rather clear the decks and get a bloke who might actually be a chance of improving our best 22.
