Idiots. That was one skinny first round flanker too many IMO. Could excuse Simpson because it was a shit year, but after picking Pitt over Darling/Lycett you'd think they would have learned their lesson. Passed on Goddard too, although he's been struck with injury.

I dont think Rance wants to go to WA, I think he is happy where he is - at Richmond. I dont know him personally though but I assume he wants to stay at Tigerland.

I think he deserves an All-Australian this season? If AFL was an international sport and if the All-Australian selectors were choosing a team to take on the worlds best AFL players at a tournament, and if I was one of those All-Australian selectors I'd be choosing Rance and McGovern before anyone else in terms of consistency, reliability and quality. They are two players you would want to go to war with and stand up in defence.

Half the squad had the flu when we played the crows, would explain why we just gave up at the end and couldn't even score in the last quarter.

*if* we beat Hawthorn next friday I think perhaps we're in with a shot the next week... Crows will be coming off consecutive 6 day breaks and a showdown...

No doubt it does, but watching a bit of Fremantle the last month, I swear they are subtly tanking.

I agree, they seem a pragmatic club and probably back themselves in and cite their last 4 seasons as a winning culture and habits that won't be destroyed from this years debacle, they've probably intimated to players they're gone as a way to get them to play even worse to get pick 1, 2, 3 or 4..
