Payoff for having the best home ground advantage in the competition.

• 9 home games that lockout (almost all) away support.
• 7 away games just an hour up the road so they can get plentiful support at those games.
• 6 genuine away games.
• The stupidest shaped ground in the AFL (including the postage stamp SCG).
• Same air miles as a Melbourne team but don't get genuine home games against non-Victorian teams only.

Their only gripe is playing 2 or 3 home games a year against big Victorian clubs at the MCG, but if they didn't their advantage would be outrageous.

For what it's worth, used to have that thought. Duff and quarters podcast changed my mind.
They want to paly MCG during home and away for revenue, then switch to Geelong Mens Home (for) Brilliant (but) Aged, come finals. We want revenue in the season, and home ground for finals, real BODE move.
