Dimma won't be thrilled with Jack Reiwoldt.

What the **** was he thinking?
Such a stupid thing to say. Should have kept his media ban.
Just by watching them play you could tell they model there game on Hawthorn, but there is way too many shit kicks on their team.
That's why they aren't exciting to watch; they chip it around until it leads to a turnover.

Jesse White is the player I think that she was trying to think of.
Bingo!

Not that I rate him.. but I remembered they lost a few..

Will be really interesting to see how they manage it moving forward.. dare I say it.. I think the forward line is going to look unbeatable some games.. and the biggest disaster zone in history during others.. depends entirely on how hard their midfield works to keep the ball in. Tippett and Franklin give up the chase pretty easy... and Goodes is well past his prime.. so when the ball hits the deck, you should be able to clear it out IF you move it quickly.. unlike us.

I doubt there will be little chance of much change in the playing stocks ( outside of normal draft picks ) in the next two years if the ASADA stuff drags on. It will be challenging to get recycled players to join Essendon. Development will be so important.

The endless circle jerk on 360 over Port is getting real old. That creed shit was rubbish.

How refreshing that it isn't Geelong or Hawthorn.

Yeah it was... 6 months ago. I have no problem talking football about any club, but these cheesy cutaways and the constant crapping on about Koshie is making me switch off.
That's the media for you- fleshes everything out more than it needs to be fleshed out, so as to squeeze everything dry of as many stories and headlines as possible.

I can't. Did you hear the pre-game talk he had with the leadership group before the showdown?

I didn't, but I make a point of listening to all his press conferences. Every week there's a player there as well, and every week the player sounds like Hinkley in terms of the message. That's the mark of a seriously good coach, and a player group which has bought into him.

Hinkley isn't the most... eloquent speaker, but he delivers his message excellently and the playing group seem to follow it to a tee.

You're right yaco, I mean of the four recycled players on our list, only three arrived last year after the saga. That's pathetic really.

The players arrived on the basis that 2014 would be ASADA free - Which was a fair assessment.

Since Port brought in Keith Thomas as CEO they haven't put a foot wrong. I think they deserve plenty of kudos as it was only 2 - 3 years ago they were an absolute basket case both on and off field.

The fact they're playing well, they are standing up to the pressure and scrutiny etc is big news, especially when they have the 3rd or 4th youngest list in the comp.

It is the Cinderalla story of 2014 so the media are giving it legs.

The more interesting part of this story is yet to come, and that is how they handle adversity. If their form suffers how do they respond, how will they cover key injuries, for example if Lobbe and Schultz go down for an extended period their replacements (Renouf and Butcher) aren't nearly as good.

Basically, a show like AFL 360 doesn't need to be on Monday-Thursday. Once a week suited it fine, although I must acknowledge that it replaced a show centred on David King and his diagrams so I'll give it an extra night's grace at least! Still, I think it is overkill, as are a lot of the segments on the show, just a lot of padding.

I agree entirely. Possibly 2 nights a week, 1 on Mondays to review the weekend and 1 on Wednesdays or Thursdays to preview what is to come.
