I fear that they are running their race a bit early as usual. I know it's hard for them when they don't have any players with preliminary/grand final winning experience, but they need to calm it down a bit.

Reckon Clarkson might just bust his nut in the next year or so, as he has to deal with the infuriating ignominy of getting not quite so much of the mysteriously smooth ride with the umpires, as well as you know, losing.

Not that, but Geelong beat better teams to win their GFs. Hawks were handed the prelim win in '14 vs Port by umpires; their reigns are weak in comparison to the eras of Brisbane and Geelong.

Although I think the Brisbane dynasty was better than Hawthorn, they did not once win the minor premiership. They stood up when it mattered but weren't the best over a season.

Having said that I seldom like to talk dynasties because of the continual changing of rosters. I'm much more a fan of comparing seasonal best 22s, of which my top 3 is
1. Essendon 2000
2. Carlton 1995
3. Geelong 2009

They are a scab club. Take everyone's else's players, get afl concessions, raufht the system to do underhanded deals not against the rules but severely bending them. Their supporters are there I the good times but disappear when they arent up and about which is why the afl needs to keep feeding them so they stay up.What players have they ever put back into the system other than that little scum bag schneider. I think it's an overreaction to say a night GF will ruin GF parties. Start it at 5 or 6pm rather than 12 or 1pm. Is it really going to make a huge difference? I doubt it.
