Totes Disagree. I get it. People like to hate Tom Morris. But no sports journalist in Australia would have sat on that story. Morris was doing his job. So, instead of shooting the messenger, how about you criticize the people within Richmond who leaked it?

Agree-it’s pretty darn hard to sit on that story. Hard to believe players weren’t told first.

Odd that two coaches at the Hawks during a time that is now the focus of a racism inquiry have both quit in the space of a week. Not accusing Dimma of anything of course, just saying these things come in threes.

All eyes on Fagan.

He's still a sh*t bloke for doing it. The reason I didn't do journalism is because you have to be a terrible person to have any sort of success doing it. Tom Morris is a shining turd of an example of that.

Depends on whether or not he agreed to the club's requested embargo
The clip is all over social media of Morris breaking the story. He says quite categorically that he tried to contact Dimma to verify the story but got no response. He then contacted Richmond, and they told him they would not comment on it. They did tell him there was to be a player meeting today. But they never asked him to withhold the story until after that meeting.

Technically Clarkson hasn't quit at this stage - he's on indefinite leave, though he may well totally walk away

Interesting observation. My immediate thought was ...if someone like a coach intends to go... the can not let the weeds grows under the feet. If its true that in this instance a txt was sent out ...pretty sure you have lost control of your story if you do that..

So .... its probable that the last win as coach of Rich is against Geelong .......

Dimma leaving will make Port & GC take notice. I think the tigers should go after Leppa… he has been there and has an astute mind. It would also weaken Collingwood too as he would be the real coach of the woods… There is no way McRae is coaching that club… clearly just the smiley front face for the media..

Agree that Leppa would be a good target. If Scott walked away at the end of this year, he'd be at/near the top of my list. Got thrown to the wolves at the Lions but has done his time developing and spent plenty of time in winning environments.

Dimma said in the press conference that he spoke to players "All Day" yesterday. So while there was a meeting this morning, it seems the players already knew about it.
Broad kept a straight face then on ‘on the couch’ when asked some normal questions regarding Hardwick..

Good presser ( well apart from not being able to hear the questions). Great coach- can’t argue with his record. Remarkable achievements.
Of course, here’s hoping the tigers finish 9th this season!
