I have no doubt that they will lift for next weeks game against Dunkley.
But if our guys play with anywhere near the intensity of last night I dont see how they have the class to keep up with us.

6 day break is no excuse either cause the Dogs will be coming off a 5 day break.

Clug & Berry (Witherden and Cox).

And if I’ve read things right here, 2016 was the beginning of our second or third rebuild.
Nah. At no point were we really rebuilding. At best we were puttering along indifferent to our impotence. Rebuilding implies a degree of intent that was never present.

Looking at their team list tonight they’d have at least 14 players in their ‘bottom 6’ players out there.

Where's that bulldogs poster who posted on the port gameday thread?
Probably on the dogs board whinging about how much they are missing Dunkley.

Watching the Dogs at centre bounces, they haven't replaced Dunkley's defensive role at the stoppages. Like us, they have lots of players that look good when they're winning clearances, but they also have a lot of one way runners in the midfield.

Also, why has Caleb Daniel attended more centre bounces than Macrae???

It's an interesting one. The umpires usually take a few seconds to play deliberate, usually because they're running in with a dramatic gesture (with Billy Bowden-esc enthusiasm). But if the umpire hadn't had time to do that before the siren went, I assume a free kick isn't paid?

Yeah again I don't know what the rule book says, but the ball was out before the siren went and therefore it seems only fair that a decision on deliberate should be made, even if the siren goes before the umpires can signal.

If it went out of bounds on the full I wonder if they would have applied the same logic?

Looking forward to an incredible explanation on how umpires interpret time tomorrow. Content league!

I think the rules agree with you (only time it seems this isn't the case is OOTF).

North very lucky. Not sure exactly what the rule book says but I feel Freo should have got a free kick for that deliberate.

Not sure either.

But the umpire seemed to be saying that the siren went before the ball crossed the line.

If that is in fact the rule, then I think it was the right call

Yeah I'd be okay with that, but I am not sure that is what actually happened.

If I was a Freo fan I’d be raging
Luckily we keep them all quarantined over the other side of the Nullarbor.

There is video now that shows the siren sounding before the ball crossed the line.

They got it right.

Yeah remember, from Wet n Wild to top 4. So 2010.
