51-7 to the Dogs in the 1st quarter... I think the decision to "manage" Cotchin and Dusty has sent the message to the rest of the playing group that we have given up on the season.
Probably doesn’t help that Grimes was a late out for them also.

Bonts form makes them a huge threat in finals.

Pretty simple equation for them if they play us in finals; tag Neale and unleash the Bont

Liam Jones return gives them a decent boost in KP defense. Would be crucial in finals.

Gold Coast back to being absolutely useless. Just like Hawthorn and Adelaide were in their games after beating us.

This bloody Lions team, honestly.

Haven't we had enough 'learnings' yet not to take these average teams lightly?

Honestly watching the Gold Coast against the cows how did we lose to these bozo’s makes our performance worse

We've said this too many times this year.
Unfortunately there's more to come based on how we've gone so far. Its a season of what could've been for us at this stage. All clubs had those, Adelaide 2017 Richmond 2018 etc.

We haven't even hit finals yet and all top four teams have looked shakey. Still plenty of time to get it right and way too early to make a "what could have been" call.

I suppose we could take it as a compliment that teams put so much work into our weaknesses and feel that beating the Lions means something to their team's growth and psyche ... it would be better being the hunted because we had an extra cup in the cabinet but it is definitely an upgrade on when they used to look at their fixtures and pump their fists in delight at seeing Lions x 2 and their players could come to Brisbane for a bit of a break.

Of course being the hunted means that we as a team need to harden up physically and psychologically to withstand the pressure ... sadly at the moment we seem to feel like we are still the team of scrappy upstarts rather than embracing the idea of being competition benchmarks.

Once upon a time Lions used to feed upon the cringing carcass of the Cats and they were inspired to one day be in a position to do that same to others ... right now we are anything but feared or seen as worthy of emulation.

We are playing the game and we are good at it but we don't believe we are great and maybe don't even think we deserve to be...
