After the game Ross Lyon fired up at a reporter who asked him about the crowd size.
Admittedly the reporter was ill-prepared and way out his depth, but geez the St Kilda home crowds have been diabolical.

Lyon tried to make it about it being a Thursday night fixture and kids having to get up for school the next day.
Going into the Saints/Dogs clash the AFL was averaging almost 46,000 fans at Thursday night games.
Admittedly Includes some big games at the 'G, but....

20,502 at Thursday's game and the Saints last 4 games at Docklands have averaged just over 21,100.
Lowest attendance against the Dogs in Victoria since 1999.

I'm expecting the Saints President to somehow blame the Northern Academies, which seems to be that club's default position.

Just as an aside in 2024 the Saints had a total home attendance of 321,831, the Swans 420,226.
