The team Hawthorn fielded was shit, we had the better team on paper and we got smashed after qtr time.

True, if there is 3 on BBB then 2 north players are free even if they aren't forwards they should be getting the ball kicked to them.

I think for some after a long wait for the season to start and the mature recruits we bought in...... it's difficult to accept until we have a coach that can get the basics right we'll be no good. Our list isn't that bad and with a semblance of structure we'd go against most sides.

The rule tweaks have bought Scott undone and he can no longer hide his inability to manipulate a result or at least change the flow of a game. Looking back Maj and Waite who controlled the air at both ends in 2018 and hid Scotts' lack of nous.

Make no mistake Hawthorn were terrible and you're 100% correct a win would have been celebrated long into the night and they may have even had a ticker tape parade done Errol St.

About 3/4 of our disposals are garbage and that is probably being generous. Just so much fumbling and indecisive football, one person in a bad position handballing it to another player in a worse position. I've never seen a team so bad at hitting targets by hand. Our forward structure is bad, the only thing worse is our delivery inside 50.

Of the top 10 ball accumulators snake listed, half are defenders and most of the others got too much of their ball in the back half, the way we move the ball is bad. Bad decision making, bad execution. It was only Hawks hacking the ball in the first quarter for no reason which kept us in the game for a while, once they addressed that and put pressure on us we just looked totally ineffective.

It isn't the 6-6-6 rule, it hurts us but we have fundamental problems. I am struggling to think of a team we can beat playing this way.

We have too many players that aren't up to it. The Coach hasn't got worse this year from last. I dislike his rhetoric and will be happy with a change, but our list is poor in quite a few important positions.
